Trying to Remember an Old Horror Computer Game

Okay, I remember downloading this computer game from a website years ago. It was an adventure game a la Monkey Island except you didn't control a character. You just interacted with objects on a certain screen. It was definitely an old DOS game. I remember a few things like you had to get a rotten steak from the kitchen and put it inside a grandfather clock in the main entrance. The clock ran backwards and actually reversed the steak's condition and made it raw again. I don't remember much else except that the game was set in a haunted house. I also remember a giant bat and that you could die from lochjaw. I hope that's enough because I have had no luck finding this game on mobygames or just online. With the Halloween season beginning I figured I'd want something to put me in the mood.

(And yes, I'm going to play Maniac Mansion this month.)

Thank you for that. I had tried googling that before but to no avail....

Well, if anybody wants to play a Halloweenish adventure game it's called Monster Manor

(When I first started thinking of the game the name Mad Monster Manor came to mind but I thought, "no, that's a level in Banjo Kazooie" lol)
