Had a decent Craigslist find today: $40 for
N64 system with expansion pack and 2 controllers and Smash Brothers cart only

Then the following SNES games lady thought they worked with the N64:

    Super Mario RPG
    Super Mario All-Stars
    Super Mario World
    Tetris 2
    Mario is Missing
    Bust A Move
    Donkey Kong Country
    Donkey Kong Country 2
    Zelda Link to the Past
    Clue
    Monopoly
super Gameboy with Wario Land II

    I was happy with it

snagged a bunch of loose SNES/NES games from goodwill for 1.99 each. Highlights are Killer Instinct, Romance of the Three Kingdoms 3, Guardian Legend, Gyruss. The rest were just fillers.

I found sum PCBs I like recently, namely Surprise Attack (Konami) and Last Duel (Capcom). Last Duel was a much better price; the $38 shipped price is what I'd have to pay just to get some other PCBs shipped.

A year or so ago they arrested a couple dealers from the flea market that I go to for selling bootleg stuff. They were doing DVDs and handbags. According to the newspaper article, they had about $250,000 in inventory between them. It didn't surprise me that they got caught since the people who go around to collect the money for the spaces and check the permits always have a cop with them.

    WOW.

I had the... displeasure... to visit some similar booths while I was on vacation. My sisters, niece and mother bought a few CDs off those sellers; I flat-out told them that they paid for something I could've gotten for free in less than five minutes, and that they WASTED their money. (Well, it's true, I could've found all that music in a snap on the internet!)

I listened to those CDs (not by choice) and several of them were badly burned or wouldn't even work right on standard CD players. I had to buy some CD-Rs, rip them, and reburn them so they could use them. (Again, not by choice.) You know what those idiots did? They added a fucking intro song advertising other bootleg releases. I checked out the badly printed cover art, and they had several logos. One of 'em was the Thundercats emblem. What the flying HELL, man.

I dislike blatant piracy like this, but seriously, who the fuck is stupid enough to tag bootlegs like that with a label and stuff? YOU MORONS, IT'LL ONLY GET YOU TARGETED MUCH FASTER! Agh! Fucking IDIOTS.

I have finds, but I'll post them later.

$30 for everything. Pity the Heavy Sixer is woefully incomplete, but it does work.

Value Village was good to me today! I found:

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Complete, Black Label) for $4.99 I've been wanting to try this out for a while, just to see what all the hype was about. But I didn't want to pay the high asking price.

Tetris Plus (Complete, Greatest Hits) for $1.99

Fullmetal Alchemist Edward Elric Plush for $2.99 - I have no idea whether it's a legit product or a bootleg, but it was cheap enough that I don't really care either way.

    Found today:

Quackshot-Mega Drive Japanese version CIB- $6. Been wanting this one for a while, and the box art is much better than the American version. Perfect example of "the character is happy on Japan's box and frowning on America's" boxart.

Math Gran Prix-2600-$1. Never have seen this one before, its very weird.

Spider Fighter-2600-$1. Another game I've been wanting for a while, I love this one.

Gridrunner-C64-$1. I was really excited to see this one, yet another one I've been looking for, especially on cart.

Mach 128 cartridge-C64-$1. Disk accelerator, I think? Also has a switch on it.

Today at a Goodwill store I found a box of old TI-99 computer stuff. The box had 50 carts in it, 3 cassettes, and GE computer data recorder that uses cassettes. I got the whole box pretty cheap. I guess I will be trading or selling this stuff sooner or later since I dont really collect this stuff. I just cant pass up cheap stuff sometimes.

I went out to a (normally expensive) game store today. They take trades on everything even though older stuff doesn't turn up as much as the new, so I took a couple of penny guides over. The owner took $4 off all-together for both of the guides (which I luckily have a pile of), so here it is:

-Parasite Eve (complete, first printing) $20

    I finally got one!
    In Heaven, everything is fine.

I wish we had law enforcement that does this at the local night market. My parents bought a lot of the bootleg DVD and turns out to be POS. Can't read on DVD players and a lot of them mislabel HDDVD-9 for CD.

    ANYWAY.

I'm obsessed. All $2 except for the last one, which was $1. From the top:

    Crusaders: Street Life
    Donald Byrd: Black Byrd
Bix Beiderbecke and The Chicago Cornets
    Weather Report: Mr. Gone
Cab Calloway: Best Of Big Bands
Round Midnight Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
    Lionel Hampton: Flying Home
Woody Herman: The Thundering Herds (1945-1947)
    Lee Ritenour: First Course
Bruce Willis: If It Don't Kill You, It Just Makes You Stronger
    ZZ Top: Tres Hombres
Django Reinhardt & Stephane Grappelli: Souvenirs
    The Simpsons Sing The Blues

I also picked up a bunch of Laserdiscs for reselling. Three Playboy Playmate ones (for some reason they're worth money on eBay?), some Japanese music ones (Eric Clapton, Yes, and I forget what else) among others. The LDs were almost free, I bought them at the booth where I got those CDs (and where I've been getting those Jazz CDs these past few weeks.)

Top: Black Bandai Pippin. Included one gamepad (the trackball's kinda wonky) and a game inside, some Power Rangers garbage. The game works, but it's fucking HORRIBLE. That was $20. It'll be on eBay soon enough.

The bottom thing is the VHS deck I mentioned earlier in the week. I ended up buying it. The DVD deck is broken, it won't open; I asked a buddy to check it out for me. All I want is the VHS side, anyway.

I got that PS2 game for free off GameTZ. All I did was pay postage. The cables are from Monoprice.com and they are: A 25ft S-Video + RCA Stereo cable (so I can record stuff I play, like my Bad Boys playthrough), a 10 ft. 3.5mm Stereo cable extension (for possible Lets Play recordings), and a bunch of cable ties to help me keep everything sorted out. Total was $14.87 shipped! It was cheaper to get Overnight Shipping than USPS shipping.

Edit: I just realized that Nicktoons game is my 100th PS2 game. Yowza.

I could care less about these people selling bootlegs and them getting busted. I was talking about how this guy said he stood there and applauded. That I needed a break from.

Some good finds today, but what really annoys me is this is the second week in a row I've found a SMS, and both weeks it doesn't work! The last one didn't emit any sound, and this one doesn't turn on at all no matter what cord I use. Anyone know what's wrong with it?

    GoodWill finds:

$2.99 - Spyro: Year of the Dragon - CIB, Mint

    $5.99 - System Shock - CIB, Mint

    Swap meet finds:

    $10:
Sega Master System w/ cords, controller, light gun, 2600 joystick, and these games all with boxes but no manuals:
    Vigilante
    Hang On / Safari Hunt
    Missile Defense 3-D
    Great Football
    Great Basketball

    $8 - Dark Alliance II - Xbox - Complete

    $1 - Earthworm Jim - Genesis - cart

    $5:
Sonic Adventure DX - Gamecube - Complete
SoulCalibur II - Gamecube - PC missing manual

    $5 - Zelda: OoT - cart

    $5 - Pokemon Stadium 2 - cart

    $5:
    Earthworm Jim 2 - SNES - cart
Zombies Ate My Neighbors - SNES - cart

I have today off so I was looking at some flea market websites to see which one in the Dallas/Fort Worth area I should hit, and I was bummed to see that the Trade Days USA out at Texas Motor Speedway has shut down. I never managed to check the place out since it started something like a year ago. I went there one time, but I had $12 to my name and parking cost $5; and there didn't look to be many vendors (it had been raining lightly that day). So I drove home rather than go inside practically broke. I'm a little sad about it, since it could have been a big event if they had stuck with it and let it grow. But it's out in the middle of nowhere, and I guess they couldn't get enough vendors to make it worth the effort. I'm always looking for a local flea market that doesn't deafen me with Mexican music being blared out of every stand and a good percentage of English speakers so I can actually converse with vendors.
