There were many, many, many people doing the same. Most of us viewed the DVD bootleggers as one of the primary reasons that flea market went downhill. Sure, it's part of a flea market, but there were no less than 30 different lots dedicated to JUST bootleg DVDs.

Some guy at work last week just donated a massive box full of bootleg DVDs. I waited for him to leave, then I dumped the whole box in the trash.

Kitsune you continue to impress me with the cds you find. I never see cds like the ones you find anywhere. Bix Beiderbecke and Django Reinhardt are more early jazz musicians that we learned about in Jazz class.

Well, I'm no jazz expert. The person who used to own these CDs was a MASSIVE jazz nut. I'm more or less picking random CDs that catch my eye (except for the obvious ones, like Cab Calloway), and this guy's tastes were VERY good. I would buy more, but the price gets in the way... I like the lady but dammit she charges too much for these. Two bucks a pop is too much.

I'm hoping I can get some extra cash this week so I can clear out the rest of the CDs I see next week. I don't expect her to keep everything around for long. I like Jazz, it's good hacking music.

I just wish I could've snatched that Thelonious Monk super boxset which had like 15 CDs before it was shoved into another box and hidden away.

ETA: Porksta, at least tell me you kept the cases... that's all bootleg DVDs are good for.

They weren't in cases, they were in little baggies. I'm sure if you have seen a bootleg before you know what I am talking about.

Let me know if you find one like that. Every flea market that I've been to (except for Canton) is like this.

Hah. Well, the people being raided were some of those stands, so there was much less music today.

Down here, most bootlegs DVDs come in slim DVD cases. The only people that sell bootlegs in paper or plastic envelopes are the ones that sell music.

Same here. I think that's just the general atmosphere of flea markets / swap meets.

Chinese people are used to bootleg items in Asia. So for them it is natural to see them. Some of them will buy them because they are cheap. Also Chinese don't report bootlegs to police because they don't want trouble.

Wow! That's the kind of find I'd love to see! Any DC that I locate is considered a super find in my book, as they are very rare in the wild. Especially games as scarce as these! Nice find.

The McKinney Third Monday Trade Days in Mckinney, TX are good too. But not for finding all that much in the way of old games. There's usually only one or two vendors that have anything at all. Most of it is rustic furniture, puppies/chickens/rabbits, and assorted cowboy house decorations and stuff. It bothers me going out there, since the market is right underneath a dam. It always makes me flash back to those History Channel shows about an earthen dam breaking and killing hundreds in Pennsylvania(?).

    Lots of stuff this week/end:

Pic 1: Dell 20.1" 2007fp Ultrasharp monitor - $50 from work. These things still go for $150-200 used.

I got my brother a 2007wfp for the same price for his birthday. I wanted to try to use this for as a substitute for my CRT, however, the monitor isn't that good for gaming. However it's great for everyday use.

    Pic 2: 300 Blu-Ray and a Component cable - $8

Pic 3 and 4: PS2 lot. System, hookups, 2 controllers, guitar hero controller and the following games:

Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown, Pirates of the Caribbean, RPG Maker 2, Harvest Moon Save the Homeland, WWE Smackdown Here Comes the Pain, Superman Returns, AMF Xtreme Bowling, Legends of Wrestling 2, MGS 2, Twisted Metal Black Extra Twisted Edition, Hitman Blood Money, Bard's Tail, KH2, WWE SD vs Raw 06, Guitar Hero 3, MLB 09, GTA Vice City, GTA 3, tony Hawk American Wasteland, THUG, THUG2, Harvey Birdman, VF4 Evolution, Star Ocean Til the End of Time, Bully, DQ8, GTA San Andreas, HIgh Rollers Casino, Puzzle Quest, Quake 3, FF7 Dirge of Cerberus, MK Armageddon, Pirates, Black Kat, NAC, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Fire Pro Wrestling Returns, VF4, Shadow Hearts Covenant, Persona 3 FES, WWE SD vs Raw 06 (2nd copy), Power Drome, Deus Ex, Ford Racing 3, Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Star Ocean (2nd copy), Neo Geo Battle Coliseum

Disc only: Evil Dead regeneration, Judge Dredd, Star Wars Episode 3, Yugioh Duelists of the Roses, WWE SD Shut your mouth, Scarface, Midnight Club Dub edition, Sims, Socom 2

$75 for the whole lot above

Pic 5: $4 for the Resident Evil Toys

Pic 6: $10 for the Green N64 with hookups, controller and Hydro Thunder

Pic 7: $25 total for the 2 mini SNES systems, 2 controllers, 1 av, 1 power, Aladdin, SM All Stars, SM World and SF2 Turbo

I've never seen one of those SNES-2's around here ever. Of course, I'm hoping this means I'll find one very soon. Both times in the past when I've commented on never seeing a certain console locally (SMS and TG-16) I found them shortly afterwards.

Sometimes the consoles are the toughest things to find. I've only seen an SMS in my hometown once, and a TG-16 only out of state. I just got lucky with the SNES Jr. and found a loose barebones one that was supposedly broken, $5. Funny thing is, when I tested it out, it worked better than my original SNES!

Well I don't have it now, but I have seen a lot of them, there the old Performance or high frequency brand I believe, and they have an extremely cheap feel and function.

Yep, it's the same down here I've only seen 1 SNES mini, 2 TG 16 (never have seen one with the controller), 4 NES mini (one at Play n' Trade for $120 that I THOUGHT would never sale ), 1 3DO, 1 SMS, 1 Sega CDX, and 2 Genesis 3.

P.S. I got all of it but 2 of the NES minis
