Default Rogue Squadron and Project 64

And before I speak, yes, I own the cartridge in real life, so no need for the lawyer police. So, I went to play Star Wars: Rogue Squadron in Project 64, and know what happened? The opening text screen was blippy, and the game froze at the Nintendo 64 logo. I searched on Google for any plugins of any kind, and all I found were some random forum pages about the same subject (with admittingly BAD grammar compared to here) and a Youtube video about some plugin that I couldn't understand to the guy in it having what I call "35 Year Old in the Basement With Damaged Vocal Cords From Screaming At 12 Year Olds In Halo 3 and World of Warcraft Syndrome" and no dice. So, is there no interest in a plugin to make it work, or is it the ROM? Any thoughts? I heard that 1.7 wll have compatblity, but that won't come out for about 3 years, probably. All of ths just to play Rogue Squadron in wdescreen HD.

Oh, hello no joystick support and bad arrow key and mouse control! How's it going?

Still, I prefer the Nintendo 64 version best because it's what I'm used to the most. I played the PC version a few times, it's not the same. That, and the N64 emulator has arrow key control WAY beyond the PC one. I like the N64 one because it's a more perfect one.

Huh? I first played the game on the PC, and used my Sidewinder Gamepad, so it certainly supports gamepads at least. It was kind of hard with the d-pad, but an amazing game anyway. Does it really not have analog joystick support, seriously? I find that hard to believe...

Read somewhere there's no joystick support. That, and the N64 one might not work in PJ64 due to heightmaps or something else weird...

Since you own it, just play it on a real deck, not many other options available otherwise.

I just like them in emulators because I can make it go faster, disable the fog, use cheats (I don't own a Gameshark.) and mess with the graphics to make it go widescreen. Still, nothing beats the classics, I guess.

    TO THE N64 CAVE, ROBIN!
    DaAAaAaaaAA Duuun DUN!
