Aside from 6 being compressed to all hell and there being no progressive scan it's basically perfect.

Glad to hear everyone is able to get theirs reasonably. Beating scalpers is SO MUCH FUN. I still need to open mine... my PS3 arcade stick is going to waste over here!

"And the book says: 'We may be through with the past, but the past ain't through with us.'"
Two companies have made NeoGeo compilations for the PS2.
The first one, G1M2, handled the entire NeoGeo Online Collection set: Art of Fighting (1-3), Fatal Fury (1, 2, Special +3; RB, RBS, RB2), King of Fighters Orochi (95-97), King of Fighters Nests (99-2001), Kizuna Encounter, Samurai Shodown (original with SS1-5), Sunsoft Collection (Waku Waku 7 + Agressors of Dark Kombat), and ADK Soul (Ninja Commando, Ninja Combat, Ninja Master's, Twinkle Star Sprites). These compilations are -almost flawless-. No slowdowns other than the ones that appeared on the original hardware, virtually no loading times, original and arrange music on most games, and there's practice modes on the newer compilations. But they don't include any bonus materials. There's some issues with music being out of sync (as in, it starts an instant too late) and some instances of graphic glitches, but nothing overly distracting.
The second one is Terminal Reality. They completely botched the PS2 SNK Arcade Classics (half-speed gameplay on most games, but it seems the Wii version works fine), Metal Slug Anthology had very slight, but still noticeable, input lag, and KOF Collection: The Orochi Saga (US version) had slight audio bugs in all games, but they're very noticeable in KOF '98. On the other hand, their games include bonus materials, SNK Arcade Classics had achievements of a sort, and The Orochi Saga has a challenge mode that lets you unlock a lot of official artwork and the game's original and arrange soundtracks (though you can't play with the arranged soundtracks.)
The former puts gameplay over extras. The latter puts extras over gameplay and bug testing.
I'll give Terminal Reality a few points for the bonus materials and overall presentation, but they really need to get some proper game testers.

Are you sure that the Japanese version didn't have Tenka? Judging from Play-Asia's page for it, the original Japanese run included Tenka as well as 1-5.
I found a copy at gamestop today, according to there computer, it was the only copy in gamestops hands in all of oregon, it took a good hour to reach this po-dunk store. Then i get home to find people found new copy's, so i ordered 1 from walmart. I most likely will be selling the used one eventually if there is any interest left, or not. Either way im covered.
I've never had 2 copys of the same exact game before, besides a normal and a greatest hits version, or a variant.
Only 2 more snk ps2 games to get. The King of Fighters 02/03 and Metal Slug 4 & 5.
So this game is now available for mass consumption at a few different online retailers huh. That certainly didn't take long.

I have a confession to make.
I actually work for SNK Playmore. I was hired to stir up controversy and get people to buy the games at online stores.
:P
This is one helluva coincidence. I'm scared.
I ordered 4, hopefully I'll be able to flip 3 and keep one for myself.
Guys, don't tell cag/sd etc about this please.
I'm sure they already know. Guys, order your cases while you can!
I'm not going to risk it. :P
Update:
One on Ebay; 4 bids @ $30 with 5 days to go: Here.
3 others with some ridiculous BIN prices.
All of the stores that had it in stock a few days ago are back to "backordered" status. I hope my order at CD Universe (when it was in stoc) was soon enough that I'll get one.
