Default Hm, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is out on PC

This is a bit unexpected. Apparently it just shipped last week - almost two whole years after the console versions!

As I recall from the older reviews, this is very much improved over Lego Star Wars I and II. I was thinking I was going to have to settle for the DS version (which is even more of an improvement over DS Lego Star Wars II, having been done by a completely different group). I'm glad I didn't.

I'm thinking I should probably get this now, as it seems more likely to fade into obscurity than to conveniently settle any deeper into the bargain bin than it already is. Or maybe it will appear on Steam, like so many other older Lucasarts releases.

It is good to see this game on the PC. Suprised that it was not released earlier, considering it was released for everything else. Great game, and I am sure it will look excellent on the PC!

Yeah, definitely get it. Most addicting game I've played in years. Put 60+ hours into the 360 version and got all 1000 achievement points (and this was after putting 20 hours into The Original Trilogy). Now I'm thinking about playing thru the PS3 version. Complete madness, I know but there's something about this game that makes you want to get it 100% completed.

The Lego games are like crack... I can't believe I'm looking forward to frickin' Lego Harry Potter. Nice to see LSW getting a PC port.

Now that its coming out on the PC, I am thinking of getting it on the PS3...

    Go Figure.

This reminded me to get it as I only have the original trilogy one for the XBOX360.

Did the original Lego Star Wars parts get updated at all for the complete saga? The first LSW game was a PS2 CD game, afterall, and the original trilogy is a lot better.

    That is my understanding, yes.

I agree.. completely addictive. After finishing them when they originally came out I didn't think I'd be back in for another round of 100%... but I did it.

Great game, shame I haven't gotten around to Indy or Batman yet for some odd reasons. Not as partial to the source material I guess...

PS2 cd games where made up to at least 11/4/08, as Army Men: Soldiers of Misfortune, was the last game I've found that is cd.

I did notice something odd, for Lego Star Wars, the original is cd, and the greatest hits is dvd. I wonder why they switched, unless something else was added? Anybody know?
I know Madagascar was also like that, as they added a playable demo to the GH version.

I have a feeling that even if a game is within 700mb, the disk duplication facility will just use whatever is on-hand. Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess's PC release is something like 300mb, and it's on a DVD.

Aaand it's gone up on Steam and Direct2Drive.

I might as well return the unopened store-bought copy I have now and await the Inevitable Sale. I was kind of looking forward to playing it, but it's not like I don't have anything else to play in the meantime.
