I'm intrigued, but kinda apprehensive until I find out how well constructed it is.

I want that demo...
I preordered the sucker yesterday, but the halfbrain employee at GameStop told me there was no such thing as a voucher to download the demo, even though it was stated in the website. She kept telling me it was for GOW Collection and NOT the preorder of GOW3. Now I have to fight this if I want the demo...

Proud owner of a Neo 25 Neo Geo Candy Cab!
Ok, that is a must have.
Loosely based.
Don't care about plastic crap, yet another latin chanting OST, or character skins. I just want to stab cyclops' (cyclopses? Cycli? Whatever).
Nothing beats the Blazblue limited edition for me, because not only did it come with a two disc soundtrack and a great tutorial disc, but it was the SAME PRICE AS THE 'REGULAR' EDITION. Spending an extra thirty to forty bucks on the gaming equivalent of happy meal toys isn't a priority for me anymore: the extras are seldom worth it.
As a video game collector and GOW fan I definitely want this.....but not for $99. I'll wait until it hits the clearance section for $40 or below.

These special limited edition versions of games are nice I suppose if you're a hardcore collector, but I think for a lot of gamers paying an extra $40, $50, or whatever for the limited edition version of a game is a bit much? I wouldn't pay anymore than $20 extra for the limited edition version, like I did with MGS4. Paying $60 for the regular versions of games is too much, charging extra for limited edition versions isn't really worth it unless you're getting a shit load of extras. That being said, this GOWIII collection and the Modern Warfare 2 collection do look fucking amazing, whether they're worth the extra $$ is up to the individual gamer I guess.

What a piece of shit this thing is! An extra $40 for a $5 lunchbox and artbook!? Fuck that!
I had forgotten that I pre-ordered the game on Amazon a few months back to get the demo code, well I never got the code and I got an e-mail telling me the game was being shipped. I guess it serves me right for trying to beat the system, since I planned on canceling the pre-order as soon as I got the code. So I'm not sure if I want to send it back and get a refund, or just keep it and avoid the hassle.
As a collector of PS3 titles, i'm not even remotely interested in this. The box looks awful, and the contents just don't seem like they would hold their value in the long run. This is definately a 'skip it' item for me.
I'm more interested in getting a copy of resonance of fate for ps3 at the moment.
Picked up mine yesterday. Pandora's box is quite nice looking. Yeah, it's plastic, but what exactly would you expect? Plaster? Granite? The art book is very nice, hard bound with a generous amount of content. People seem to forget it comes with downloads for music that would probably cost 20-30 bucks alone. Plus the documentary and other DLC. Plus, of course the game is amazing. I'm only a few hours in, but am totally blown away by the scale. There are enough tweaks and additions to gameplay that no part of it feels stale at all. For me, at least, I feel I'm getting my moneys worth on this.
Except that soundtrack downloads and other DLC have limited value to collectors and inevitably, these download soundtracks get released free down the road. For $40 more than the price of the game (not including the $20 gift cards and other discounts various retailers were giving on just the game), I would expect more than a cheap plastic box and a small art book.
sorry for the double post, browser is being stupid
