I'm in the midst of a long dry spell (that's what she said) for games around here. I also tried to go to GS this weekend to look at the sale items, but I found nothing. And the fact that almost all the local GS are now COMPLETELY bare of original Xbox stuff takes away a huge reason I ever went in there anyway.
Last Friday I passed up an original Gameboy with Tetris in some kind of plastic gameboy holder thing for $9, a NES Tecmo Bowl for 95 cents, and a bag of 3 loose genesis games for $3 (I had them all). The store has a ZERO RETURN policy, so I didn't want to take a chance on the GB, and the line to check out was so long that it wasn't worth the time to buy the other games. That's the closest I've come to a find in a good 10 days or more. I'm starting to jones a little.....

Or, if you feel like selling it for cheap...
Another "Holy Crap" day at the Goodwill dock sale.... and now with pictures!
When I got in I immediately headed to the right where they put DVDs and CDs. I noticed a big pile of games. Got as many as I could carry and grabbed a basket and put more in it. I got rid of the sports games and was left with this. Everything was $0.50 a piece except for the empty Gameboy cases, which were $0.10 each. The notables in this lot are TMNT: Hyperstone Heist, grey Zelda II, and Krazy Kreatures. Decided to get air sea battle too cause you can't beat a common Atari 2600 game in really nice shape for 50 cents lol.
Everything in this picture was $1-3 each. remotes are being sold on eBay as replacements. Notables are that really nice Realistic Highball 2 mic, Magellan GPS, Roomba home base (which brings around $20 on eBay), Sharp equation editor graphing calculator, Sony voice operated recorder, Corex Cardscan 300 and a ohmmeter. Note that I did not take these remotes from their proper DVD players/stereos. They were found all by their lonesome. Most of these remotes should be worth $8-10 a piece on eBay as replacements. The 3 big gray Sony ones should be worth $10-15. If anybody's wondering the remote brands are Sony, Onkyo, Creative, Fisher, Drake, and Cyberhome.
Last pic. Everything in the picture was $0.50 each. Got Fraggle Rock for my sis. The thing in the lower right is a sampler disc for a reproduction 17th century organ. Kinda weird but I thought it was interesting.
In case anybody was wondering total for everything was aaround $62. I also got a Radio Shack CB transceiver worth around $50, a D-Link wireless media transmitter worth about $30, and a Petsafe instant fence radio fence transmitter.
Wheh that was a lot of typing. I haven't even check the eBay value for the small electronics. This was an unusually good day at the dock sale. I normally don't find this much. I swear I've never seen so many phones in one place too. I think cordless phone go to the dock sale to die. I can't even salvage and resell the adapters from the darn things. Nobody wants em.
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!
View my collection!
Nothing much today, I went and bought the only copy of Backyard Hockey in my area today.
And I found a copy of High Heat Major League Baseball 2003 for the PS2, complete and almost mint, for a buck at the flea market.
$50 for the 35 Nintendo games here
$150 for this whole lot which included:
Vectrex with Cosmic Chasm, Tower of Narzod, Armor Attack, Ripoff, Solar Quest, Scramble
NES (Sold it already), 2 SNES systems, Atari 2600 (woody), Genesis (model 2), Saturn (model 2), Dreamcast (sports edition, kinda picky system)
Phantasy Star 1-4 complete, loose Super Mario 2, loose Shining Force 2, 5 complete NES games (DK Classics, Super C, Dragon Warrior, Xevious, Blades of Steel) and 4 common 2600 games
$12 for the Genesis/32x combo (hookups and controllers not shown), 5 for the Guy Game, 5 for COD4, 2 for King of Kings, 6 for Secret of Evermore
Wow. That's a great find! I finally did score some stuff at Half Price Books today after being inside watching two guys install AT&T U-Verse all afternoon:
RBI Baseball 94 (Genesis) complete
Cosmic Ark (2600) loose
Pressure Cooker (2600) loose
Frostbite (2600) loose
TH Pro Skater 2 (DC) complete
NHL 2k2 (DC) complete
Super Runabout: San Francisco edition (DC) complete
"Y: The Last Man" graphic novel #1
I've heard great stuff about "Y" so I'm ppicking the GN's up whenever I find them. All of the other stuff fill holes in the collection, and I've been looking for a text label Cosmic Ark for quite a while.

I just nabbed an XBox 360 from my friend. It's been stripped of any games or its HD, but the price was right -- free. It's not banned, either, which is a plus.
Anybody know any good sources for a cheap 20GB HDD (besides eBay, that is)?

not sure if this classifies as a find but Mega Turrican plus case for 3.99 shipped it was freezing on my model one genesis so i emailed the person i bought it from they issued me a refund of 2.50 but i did email them and tell them that it works in my other genesis systems they havent responded so i might have to give the refund back to pay a total of 6.50..... i also should have posted this sooner.

What's up with islands? Get more land.
What's up with deserts? Get less sand.
i originally paid 2.50 plus 3.99 shipping 6.49 total , he or she only issued me a refund for the 2.50 so i am possibly getting that back if i have to pay the 2.50 back then i will have paid 6.49 total which i round up to 6.50.

I got yet ANOTHER Radio Shack 15-1977 A/V switcher for four bucks. Why do I keep picking these up? Yeesh.
I also bought another USB extension cord. $2.
I couldn't buy any NES games today. I was literally beaten to them by a bunch of people who rammed me and wouldn't let me near them. Agh.
because the game wasnt working properly in my one genesis, the person is the one who gave me a refund i dont think i asked for one..... also amazon didnt show the refund untill after i sent the email explaining that it doesnt freeze in other systems. it is also a former rental
