Keith Robinson facebooked that he has finally secured a publishing deal for Intelli DS. I have seen and played a dev copy and this is a great package. The official announcement will be made at CES in January.

Mike, is this the same one you let me play an SC3 meet or two ago? I had fun with that thing.

Hmm, I assume the touchscreen would emulate the Intellivision's unique pad?
Good news. Gonna have to pick this one up.

Yep, that's how screenshots show it. It's ashame the d-pad of the DS can't do 16 directions, but even with just 8, this should be the best way Intellivision games have ever played.
This will be the first DS game I've played and enjoyed that really benefited from having that second screen. Will make it all finally worthwhile.
Oh man, about time! I remember playing it at CGE 07 and being really impressed with the ports.

Say, do these ports provide AI for the formerly 2-player only games?

I'm sure it doesn't, this is a emulator running the original code. If a game didn't have a single player mode 20-30 years ago, it's inclusion on this collection won't have one.
But it does appear they're including the INTV updates of Mattel's classic two player sports releases, which added a single player mode. So that solves much of that.
Just give me Intellivision Bowling on a DS cart, and I'll be a happy man.
