That's just awesome now. Who would of thought to make games for the Odyssey? I know Odyssey 2 has them but now this wow. I applaud that effort.

I was wondering how someone would make a homebrew for a game console that not only isn't programmable at all but also all the games that ever came out for it were already built-in to the console itself. Looks like he's just making an elaborate redesign of the Basketball game (that apparently went unreleased?). I wish I had an original Odyssey so I could try it out.

I bought one. I got an Odyssey awhile ago now, but I only have the console and hookups, no games (well, I have a homemade card #1 made out of tinfoil glued to a hotel keycard). I think that it's about time that I got a proper game for the Odyssey, plus this game will probably become impossible to get if I don't order it now.

This is indeed excellent, I have to give this guy major credit for doing this, he is truly a braver soul than most!

That's awesome. I'd just love to see a pic and to know how the foil is glued on.

I missed out, but want this one real bad. I am first in line for a second run if he makes more. If anyone decides they want to sell theirs or trade it, please let me know.

There will be an additional run of these! I totally recommend anyone to jump in on this.

Hahaha, I did a pretty crappy job, but it does work (with a little fiddling). This is one of the sides, the other side is much simpler. I just looked up the connections for the cards here: http://www.pong-story.com/odycarts.htm, and printed them out to the correct size. Then I used a glue stick and attached foil to the card on both sides, and cut away to make the circuit.

The biggest problem with this method is that the hotel card isn't quite as wide as the actual carts (by about one pin), so it takes some wiggling back and forth to align it so that it works correctly. The hotel card is also thinner than a normal cart, so you have to be careful not to bump the system while playing, 'cause it causes the system to reset.

    Dude, that's totally brilliant.

I thought about getting Odball, but since I'm not actually a collector, per se, I'm okay not getting it, but very happy to know it exists. I was shocked to find out that the type of film used for Odyssey overlays is no longer being made!

Gotta say I admire the guy for doing this. Now I want someone to make a sequel to Interplanetary Voyage with really hard questions about all the new crap we've learned about our star system in the last 40 years.

Man, the Odyssey is one of the very few classic game consoles I have left to acquire. Maybe I can get some cash in the near future and grab one. I'll keep this game in mind though.
If they made a movie out of your top five worst sins, what would it be rated?

I wouldnt mind seeing that myself. Interplanetary voyage has to be my favorite of the games so i may be a little biased

There's a sequel to Odball coming out soon too!

    Here are the details.
