This thread started out as a request for a list which doesnt seem to exist, so we've started making one.. Here's what I've got so far, made as more of a checklist, A Black Falcon has made a timeline version which you can see a bit further down

My definition of a console is a publicly sold system which has removable games and did not include an alphabetical keyboard in the box with the console.

Hotel units, store displays, and prototypes do not count for this.

Also if you know how to increase the horizontal width of the code box, that'd be handy to know too.

What do you mean by "all consoles"? Like Famicom, Nintendo, Super Famicom, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, GameCube, Wii? And then the Gameboy line of GameBoy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Pocket, etc...

Or are you looking for a list of every system like all the odd stuff that was released like the Pokomon N64, all the odd multi cart hotel systems, all the hotel systems with NES built into the TV? All the variations of each and every system for each and every region could be quite a large collection.

I bet we could make a list in this thread. Keep adding to the (very basic) list I have started.

Be careful.....you may be biting off a very big chunk here!!
I collect only 72-pin NES consoles from around the world, and I have over forty so far. The number of consoles available worldwide is unbelievable, since most are unliscensed and/or pirates. Even if you say something like "no pirates", then you still have variations and oddities (liscensed) that can play Nintendo carts/cds .
You are really gonna have to define your search.....or be prepared for one helluva an education. Good Luck!

Alright, I made a list... what's missing from this?

Not counting system color changes/special edition colors, just actual new models. Not counting motherboard/internal revisions within one case model. Modems and such don't count, just things that actually have games on them. Not listing accessories, even if games require them (namely the Power Pad, DK Bongos, N64 DDR Pad (Japan only), GC DDR Pad, GC Microphone, Wii Balance Board, and Wii Motion Plus). No pirate systems.

An asterisk (*) marks systems which are not videogame consoles/handhelds because they do not have interchangeable games, but are on the list anyway because they are videogames of some kind.
