Default is there a list of all released nintendo consoles?

My definition of a console is a publicly sold system which has removable games and did not include an alphabetical keyboard in the box with the console.

Hotel units, store displays, and prototypes do not count for this.

If you've got any suggestions yell out

Also if you know how to increase the horizontal width of the code box, that'd be handy to know too.

Ps. my original first post was a request for a list of all nintendo consoles, which is why the replies dont suit..

What do you mean by "all consoles"? Like Famicom, Nintendo, Super Famicom, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, GameCube, Wii? And then the Gameboy line of GameBoy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Pocket, etc...

Or are you looking for a list of every system like all the odd stuff that was released like the Pokomon N64, all the odd multi cart hotel systems, all the hotel systems with NES built into the TV? All the variations of each and every system for each and every region could be quite a large collection.

I bet we could make a list in this thread. Keep adding to the (very basic) list I have started.
Condoleezza Rice is nice, but I prefer A Roni!

Well, a very basic list would be:

    Console:
    Nes
    Snes
    N64
    Gamecube
    Wii

    Handheld:
    Game & Watch series
    Virtual Boy
    Gameboy
    Gameboy Pocket
    Gameboy Light
    Gameboy Play it Loud!
    Gameboy Colour
    Gameboy Advance
    Gameboy SP
    Gameboy Micro
    Nintendo DS
    Nintendo DS Lite
    Nintendo DSi
    Nintendo DS LL

And then if you include special editions, colour variations, add ons etc the list grows exponentially.
I reject your reality and substitute it for one of my own!

Be careful.....you may be biting off a very big chunk here!!
I collect only 72-pin NES consoles from around the world, and I have over forty so far. The number of consoles available worldwide is unbelievable, since most are unliscensed and/or pirates. Even if you say something like "no pirates", then you still have variations and oddities (liscensed) that can play Nintendo carts/cds .
You are really gonna have to define your search.....or be prepared for one helluva an education. Good Luck!
    just checking

Alright, I made a list... what's missing from this?

Not counting system color changes/special edition colors, just actual new models. Not counting motherboard/internal revisions within one case model. Modems and such don't count, just things that actually have games on them. Not listing accessories, even if games require them (namely the Power Pad, DK Bongos, N64 DDR Pad (Japan only), GC DDR Pad, GC Microphone, Wii Balance Board, and Wii Motion Plus). No pirate systems.

An asterisk (*) marks systems which are not videogame consoles/handhelds because they do not have interchangeable games, but are on the list anyway because they are videogames of some kind.

    1974
Magnavox Odyssey - Japan (distribution only)

    1975
    *First Nintendo arcade game

    1977
*Nintendo Color TV Game line (Nintendo's Home Pong clone) - Japan

    1980
*Game & Watch line starts - Japan, later US, Europe as well

    1983
Nintendo Family Computer (aka Famicom) (Japanese NES) - Japan

    1984
    Famicom Basic Keyboard (Famicom addon)
Famicom Data Recorder (addon for Famicom Basic Keyboard) - Japan)

    1985
    NES - US (test marketing)

    1986
NES - Canada, PAL-B (France, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, West Germany) (also wide US release is this year)
Famicom Disk System (Famicom addon) - Japan
Sharp Twin Famicom (licensed clone Famicom plus Disk System) - Japan
Nintendo PlayChoice - US (arcade version of the NES which uses special plug-in PCB versions of NES games)

198? (mid '80s releases but specific year for each one unknown)
*NES Demo Station (can perhaps switch chips on the circuit board to change games, but other than that it's preset)
NES M82 Demo Unit (NES demo system which can hold 15 games with a time limiter. Uses normal NES carts, plays on a TV.)

19?? (probably mid to late '80s, perhaps early '90s? I have no idea)
Hyundai Comboy - South Korea (South Korean version of the Famicom/NES, uses NES-shaped system and carts)

    1987
NES - PAL-A (UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Italy) (note -- PAL-A and PAL-B NES games and systems are incompatible. Non-copy protected systems such as the NES 2 should be able to play both types though.)

    1989
    Game Boy - US, Japan

    1990
Super Famicom (Super NES) - Japan

    1991
    Super Nintendo - US
Nintendo Super System - US (arcade version of the SNES which plays special plug-in PCB versions of certain SNES games)

    199? (unknown year in early/mid '90s)
Hyundai Super Comboy - South Korea (South Korean version of the Super Famicom, uses Super Famicom system and cart shapes)

    1992
    Super Nintendo - Europe/PAL

    1993
AV Family Computer (redesigned Famicom) - Japan
NES 2 (redesigned NES) - US (these two systems have very similar designs, but do have shape and output differences so they are not the same -- the AV Famicom doesn't have the bump over the cart port and uses the standard SNES/N64/GC Nintendo AV output jack and the Famicom addon port, while the NES 2 is RF output only and has the bump and no Famicom addon port of course.)

    1994
Super Game Boy (play Game Boy games on a Super Nintendo) - Japan, US, Europe

    1995
    Virtual Boy - US, Japan
Satellaview (Super Famicom addon) - Japan

    199?
Nintendo Power cartridge for Game Boy - Japan (rewritable flash memory carridge that you could get games written on to at stores or direct via Nintendo. Rewrite service ran until 2007. I can't find the release year, but it's most likely somewhere between 1995 and 1997.)
Nintendo Power cartridge for Super Famicom - Japan (same as above but for the SFC. The two came out at the same time.)

    1996
Game Boy Pocket (redesigned Game Boy) - Japan, US, Europe

Pokemon Mini (handheld) - US, Japan

    Gamecube - Europe
    Pokemon Mini - Europe

    2003
E-Reader (Game Boy Advance addon) - Japan, US

Game Boy Player (Gamecube addon that plays Game Boy, GBC, and GBA games) - Japan, US, Europe

    2004
