Default Sega Rally Championship Vs. Sega Rally Championship Plus (AKA Netlink Version)

OK, I've been wondering this for a while:

Sega Rally was released on the Saturn under the name Sega Rally Championship in America on 12/5/95 in America.

Sega Rally was released on Saturn in Japan under the name Sega Rally Championship Plus on 12/29/95.

Then a Netlink Version of Sega Rally Championship PLUS was released in America in combination with the Netlink.

So my question is, are there any noticeable differences between Sega Rally Championship (US) and Sega Rally Championship Plus (JP)?

The Plus version is basically the Jp Netlink version. It has the finalized graphics of the original Japanese release (which was ever so slightly better than the US original due to having more time in the oven), and full support for the 3D Analog Controller.

The original Sega Rally's already pretty good with the 3D Controller, really... what do they do to improve it, change those selection menus so it's not steering wheel controls when selecting a car and track?

But yeah, those are the only differences. Note that the Japanese Netlink/XBand service used a main server and thus has been offline for many years, but US Netlink of course can still be played because it's just direct modem-to-modem stuff...

The game still recognizes the 3D controller on the menu screens as a Steering wheel, but there is a picture of the 3D controller in the options menu as an example for showing the mapped out controls.
