Default Best Wii Controller for HBC?

Sorry if this has been discussed. I tried searching it, but both Wii and HBC are too short to be valid search terms, so I think it's understandable that I couldn't find anything.

    ANYWAY

I have a wireless Nyko Wing and it's a great little device for WiiWare and VC titles. The problem is, when I go into the Homebrew Channel, it completely deactivates. This is a known issue with some third-party controllers and the HBC and they have no idea how to fix it.

I've never cared much for the classic controller. The shape is just odd and uncomfortable.

I'd like to get a decent controller, preferably one that connects to the wiimote, which will allow me to enjoy playing Tyrian, Super Mario War, and my other homebrew titles in comfort. I was wondering if any of you chaps had any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Isn't there a new 'deluxe' version of the classic controller that is available in japan?
You may want to look into that.

i had the same problem. i got a wired nyko wing controller and it doesnt want to work with any of the emus but it works fine with the vc ad wiiware games.

i did my research and discovered that 3rd party controllers dont work with hbc only the official controller works. so u r out of luck like me.

i say go buy an official controller or get the CC Pro from play-asia.com or buy the snes or/and nes converter ports for the gamecube from retrousb

i just found 3rd party rip off Pro Controllers on Dealextreme.com but i doubt that would work with the hbc but whatever

Personally, I've had great fun and results just using the standard Classic Controller (or maybe that new CC that is being released soon would be a better option).
