Default Disc stuck inside Wii - NEVERMIND

This never happened to my Wii, but my friend put Wii Sports Resort into his Wii and it never loaded. He pressed the eject button, but the disc didn't come out. Weird.

Even weirder, we put in Wii Play and it loaded perfectly. We pressed eject and the Wii Play disc came out, but Wii Sports Resort is still stuck somewhere inside the Wii.

Has anyone had this happen before? Any suggestions? How the heck does he get the Wii Sports Resort disc out without dismantling the Wii?

EDIT: Nevermind. I looked at his Wii and insisted there wasn't a disc inside, but he insisted there was. He just let me know he found Wii Sports Resort in his DVD player.

He doesn't have a modded Wii by any chance?

There might be a problem with the eject button itself. My cousin bought one second-hand, and you really have to mash down on it to get the disc to eject.

I would probably call Nintendo and see what they advise.

Did you put the disc in backwards?

Also, it's pretty funny that you managed to fit another disc in there.

The Wii isn't modded. It's only a week old. The eject button works fine. Every time we press it, we hear the motor activate as if it's trying to eject a disc, but nothing comes out.

However, like I wrote, we're able to put another disc in there and it reads it perfectly. It ejects the second disc perfectly, too.

We just want to get the first disc out safely. When we shake the Wii, we don't hear anything rattling around. The disc must be jammed inside the top of the Wii. He doesn't know how that happened and I've never heard of this problem before. Worst case scenario, he keeps using the Wii and has to buy another copy of Wii Sports Resort.

If you don't mind voiding your warranty, you could open her up and try to remove your disc that way. Instructions are here if you require them. However, if your warranty is important to you it would be best to send it to Nintendo. If you do open her I would love a picture or two if it's not to much trouble; I'm always looking for some good hardware porn.

If it's only a week old why not bring everything back to the store? Tell them the game is stuck inside so you want to exchange it for another system and copy of the game.

Okay... is it possible -- and just hear me out on this -- is it possible that there actually ISN'T a disc already in the system? It's a crazy concept, I know, but....

That's what I was thinking as well. I mean, it never loaded, it won't come out, and another disc loads and works fine. 10 bucks says it rolled under the couch.

Take it to your local game store and see if they will get it out for you (probably not if its is gamestop). Or you could probably send it into nintendo if you dont mind waiting forever... I wouldn't recogmend opening it yourself when you could probably have it fixed for free being such a new purchase, and if it's messed up I'm sure it could be replaced for free or something.

Damn, that's so obvious. Why didn't I think of that? It might even be in the case. I feel like an idiot.

Hahaha, I think everyone who read the story came to the same conclusion.

Having a disc stuck in your wii is at least better than having your wii stuck in a disc.

^Agreed! I can't imagine another disc magically floating to the top(inside the wii system). Also, shaking your wii isnt the best way to fix it. I realize shaking a system might be a good way to diagnosis a problem to some, but I don't think it is ideal.

Although, maybe the disc was inserted upside-down. I heard all Wii systems have a cache area where they store discs they dont recognize. Just dont fill up the cache or the system will explode, shooting discs out like ninja stars. A friend of my cousin lost a few fingers when his wii shot out a PS2 game. He can still hold the controller, but he has a helluva time pressing two buttons at once. He is gonna sue Nintendo, lucky bastard. Good things like this never happen to me.

Nevermind. I looked at his Wii and insisted there wasn't a disc inside, but he insisted there was. He just let me know he found Wii Sports Resort in his DVD player.

Let us never speak of this incident again. Mods, please lockerooni.

...this is the best thread ever.

    And to your friend:

Buy some sensible shoes and a Chevrolet
And party 'till you're broke and they drag you away

lol xD I'm sure his hand instantly gravitated to his face when he found it. Infact I bet it will be stuck there for at least the rest of the weekend.
