Default Rumor: DOA 5 in development for PS3

This seems pretty odd, since the last 2 were released on MS consoles first.

And I wonder how it will fare without Itakagi.

Dead or Alive Ultimate, 3, and 4 were my favorite releases(obviously due to the online aspect.)

    Hopefully this is true.

Also. Is anyone else interested in another Bloody Roar? I love the series but know absolutely no one good at it except my bestfriend. I'd love playing Bloody Roar with an online mode.

Might wanna ask Hudson about that, Kupo.

Another DOA - hmm, why not? To be honest I always wanted to run around in the stages and mostly forget the fighting aspect, though

What Team Ninja should really make is a Ninja Gaiden tournament fighter.
A bloody fighting game that doesn't suck monkey nuts is long overdue.

As long as they get rid of the logs, fences, cheetahs and raptors. Arcadey B.S. *grumble*

    ...loved 2, Ultimate 2, and 3 though.

Is the Dead or Alive franchise even relevant anymore? Is anyone actually excited about the prospect of another game in the series?

I thought the series was incredibly shallow. The graphics were nice, and the breasts were jiggly, but that was about all it had going for it.

It's more popular than Virtua Fighter outside of japan, so I can't see it being completely irrelevant, but I don't know anyone who played DOA4 outside of the demo.

It was one of the main tournament games used by Championship Gaming Series, having both male and female DOA divisions. Of course, they went out of business in early 2009 so yeah, I doubt many people play this anymore. I picked up the game on clearance a year before I even purchased my 360 but I still haven't played it.

As for DOA5, I'm glad it's in development for the PS3 first. That just means a superior version will be released for the 360 later on. I don't think they'll keep this exclusive seeing how they didn't keep Ninja Gaiden 2 exclusive.

It's not necessarily going to be developed on the PS3 first. It was rumored by a Playstation magazine so they obviously won't mention the 360 version if there was one.

Besides. Most likely the development would start on the 360 and then be ported over to the PS3 if it was multiconsole so theres a high chance that the 360 version would be the better version anyways. It usually is. Probably about 40% of the time looks better, most of the rest look the same then there's the few that the PS3 looks and performs better.

I still have my copy of DOA 4.

Even thought I haven't played it in 2 years...

it was a fun fighting game ,the first several were very enjoyable but 4 was WAY TOO FUCKING HARD because it didn't have differnt dificulty levels, so the casual gamer really coudln't get into it like the rest of the series. i'm looking forward to a sequel as long as they re-add the easier dificulty levels.

It did get kinda hard when the AI can act like only AI can. But one of the worst aspects of DOA 4, to me anyways, was the way the combo juggling was handled. I don't think there was a way to get out of it, like you could in Fighting Vipers, plus you were carried floating all the way across the screen by a combo with ease. Toshinden 3 at least had it so the gravity increased, bringing them to the ground, to make it end, as well make each hit worth less and less as it went on.
