I was being sarcastic.. But while were on the subject:
I do like playing RPG's in a PC gaming environment. Without a doubt, there are awesome console RPG's (hello... Phantasy Star?). I just like playing them more on a PC than I do a console - they feel more 'streamlined' on a PC...
I think Modern Warfare 2 is pretty much the only thing that needs be mentioned (since everybody else mentioned everything else already).
Better graphics!
But worser multiplayer! OH NOES!
Yea I know lol, I can't even remember when the last time a good RPG came out on the PC either(back in the old days, they use to get tons, not now though), and lol omfg, why the hell would I say Oblivion, that barely hits the ok mark, let alone the good mark(and It's a million miles away from being great), sigh what a let down that game was.
I think Koreans would agree that RTS games should only be played on PC.
Fear your thoughts because they become your words
Fear your words because they become your actions
Fear your actions because they become your habits
Fear your habits because they become your character
Fear your character because it becomes your destiny
Therefore: Thinking and nurturing positive thoughts, at any point in your life, can change your destiny.
Q: Is this what all threads in the Modern Gaming section look like? Because this is bad.
.
I'll ignore the fact for now that Oblivion won tons of awards and is in my opinion an excellent RPG, opinions are fine. Oblibion and Diablo are NOTHING alike however. Where Diablo is a multiplayer isometric dungeon crawling loot hunt, Oblivion is a 3D first (or third) person single player RPG. They share almost zero similarities.
I think Japanese PC games are different from Western PC games.
We tend to have a lot of 2D Shooting games that get released for the PC here, in the West I see mostly First Person Shooters, wizard-based RPGs (Lord Of The Rings style), or simulation games.
I think there's a difference in Western / Japanese games in general, I think Japanese games are more accessible, there's no need to read a manual to get started, but there is usually a lot of focus on the depth of the gameplay. Western games seem to focus on large environments / playing areas, realism, and story. I know someone will mention Metal Gear Solid 4 as being a game with a focus on story, but I am speaking generally and that game is an exception. The Metal Gear Solid series isn't as popular in Japan as some people may think either, far too much story / cut-scenes and not enough gameplay for most people!
I like both styles, it's nice to have the option of both! Around 50% of games released for the PS3 in Japan seem to be Western-produced, so it's a new experience for a lot of gamers over here. FPS were never popular in Japan until the PS3 was released.
You know, if all trolls announced their presence and intentions this blatantly, our job here would be a lot easier.
Thanks for the heads up, bombman!
