I'm a little pissed right now. I went to a dumpy little shop that has a few UK Dreamcast games. Previously, I had sent 98PaceCar into that place because he wanted to get some Japanese Dreamcast games they had. They sold him something like 15 games for a total of $45. When I wanted the PAL DC games, they couldn't find any prices for them. So I told them I'd be back later once they had figured it out. I went by today, and they still hadn't put prices on them, and searched all over eBay for prices (which they couldn't find since they were looking on US eBay for UK games). The guy refused to sell me the games since they couldn't price them. 98PaceCar got a heap of games for $45, but they want to screw me out of a maximum amount of cash I guess. Since the Japanese games couldn't be searched on eBay, they gave him a deal, whereas I always look like I've got money or something, so I always get shafted. That happens with every flea market I've been to where the prices aren't on the items. I once saw a woman asking about some NES games at a flea, and the woman told her they were $2 in Spanish. A minute later I asked her how much they were, and she wanted $5 for them. That pisses me off. Especially because I'm not good at haggling, I get angry and walk off.
I also came across a thrift that's only open three days a week, that I rarely go to anymore because of their batshit crazy prices. Today was the same, they had a 4-switch Atari 2600 with a Radio Shack universal power supply, one joystick with the rubber boot missing, and a Donkey Kong cartridge... for $89.99, with a tag on it saying "No discounts". I wanted to tell them that I had bought one yesterday for $10, but didn't bother.
Yesterday after work I hit a new thrift I'd spotted across town, didn't find anything. But on my way back was an old Sizzler steak house converted into a trading post, where I bought the Atari Heavy Sixer (with a broken difficulty switch) for $10 and that Japanese Saturn controller for $1. Today all I found was that Tandy Backgammon game to add to my growing electronic handheld collection.

First off, here's a picture of my find from yesterday.
I didn't mention that the previous owner stuck some game genie codes in the case, between the plastic and the cover art. Thankfully it wasn't stickers. It also included a printout of codes from Galoob's website from back in the day. That's kinda cool.
Anyway, today I managed to score one of my DVD holy grails!
No, not The Black Hole (though it is kinda cool) - The Terminator Special Edition. But wait, you say. Doesn't Wal-Mart sell this? Not this one it doesn't. It sells a second printing of this that has absolutely NO EXTRAS. This one has a commentary and I think it has a making of, too. I actually ordered this from a website years ago and got the second, cheapy version. I've been looking for this particular one for years now, but I never stumbled upon it until today (well, I did find it once but the artwork was trashed). This is a flipper disc, which sucks, but oh well. I can manage.
The Gundam model is for eBay, but I'm willing to sell it or trade it if anyone's interested.
Edit: Wait, it doesn't have a commentary. BOO, JAMES CAMERON, YOU LAZY BASTARD. It has some DVD-Rom extras (probably the script) and a making of. Still pretty cool.

I found two things today after a long dry stretch.
$.99 Zelda 2 (Cart only)
$8 Ogre Battle 64
That Gundam Wing model looks sweet, and nice find on the SE Terminator. I've got the second printing one, which does indeed suck because it doesn't have extras.
Also, congrats on the cheap Ogre Battle 64 find Giant. I'd love to find that game for <$20.
Backstory on Ogre Battle 64:
I rented it from Blockbuster one weekend (when it was only 3-day rentals). I played through the whole weekend on that game and rented it a couple extra days. Sunday night, I was only 1-2 battles away from the ending. My mom told me I needed to get off the game, and I told her I was close to the ending. She told me I had spent too much time playing it for the weekend, shut it off, and returned it.
I'll never know which ending I would've gotten I have that memory burned into my brain, and it's the only thing I think of when I see that game. I must finish that game, just to see which ending I'll get.
today's finds (no picture, sorry):
Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance (Xbox) $4
Britney's Dance Beat (PS2) $4
Intellivision Classic Games (PS1) $3
All games are complete, and I'm heading up to play the Intv game right now. I never knew Britney had a video game, and I just couldn't pass it up. It looks cheesy and relatively lousy, so I hope it lives up to the hype!

I've heard that the Intellivision PS1 game wasn't all that good. Something about having to replicate the keypad with an analog joystick. I own a copy, but I honestly don't remember a thing about it, so it must not have been good. See if you can find a copy of Intellivision Lives! for the PC/Mac. Far better, although the Mac version is OS 9 I believe (at least mine is).
Kitsune, how much are you looking to get for that model?

I dunno. I -was- thinking of listing it for $30 shipped on eBay since it's new and it's different from all the other completed listings. It's probably not worth that much, though. I can't find stores with this exact model for sale, so I can't compare prices - all I found was a site with this for sale for $20.
Edit:
Doh. I just found average prices going around $10 for this. Foiled again. :P

Good day today:
Half Price Books:
Call of Duty World at War (360) Loose - $2
Vice City Stories (PSP) Loose - $3
Castlevania Symphony of the Night GH Complete - $14.98
Super Monaco GP II (Gen) Complete - $1
Ironically, they had a loose SOTN in their glass case marked $29.98, but this complete copy was sitting out for half the price. I'm not complaining!
Saiyuki Journey West - $13 (manual missing)
No One Can Stop Mr. Domino - Free
Bomberman Fantasy Race - $9.75 (Only the front and back of the manual, how does this happen?)
Pink Panther Classic Cartoon Collection - Free
Venture Bros. Season 1 and 2 - $6.50 each.
I stopped at a game kiosk in the Mall of America a couple of years ago, and they had two identical cart-only copies of Bubble Bobble (NES) at very different prices. I just figured that the person pricing the games actually knew very little about the market and would just check ebay before slapping a sticker on each game as it came in. Kinda sounds like the case in your situation! Great find, though!

My other guess would be if the caseless version was the non-GH disc. Which if somebody was looking to replace their non-GH disc might be much more appealing. It's what we did at the store I work at about a year ago. In fact, the caseless copy sold almost immediately while the GH sat around for awhile longer.
