My cousin was finally ready to pick up a PS3 system and we spent most of Wed. evening driving around town looking for one. We tried every Gamestop on our side of town, Wal-Mart, Target, Meijer, and Best Buy but everyone was sold out.
We managed to find one today, at a Best Buy WAY out of the way. Luckily I knew where it was and we were able to get there before they closed. When I called them, they said they had 10-12 in stock. When we showed up, there was 3 left and they only had the 250G units. My cousin had wanted the 120G unit but I told him the 250G was a better deal for only $50 more.
There was a bookstore in the same shopping complex and I happened upon this book...
It's a hardbound book with some nice pics and concept art for both EQ and EQII (with some mention of the offshoots in the back). It's a great coffee table book...all I need now is a coffee table.
"Ai Oboete Imasu Ka?"
Purchased at a Value Village Friday afternoon:
SNES:
Out to Lunch (cart only) - $2.50
Oddly enough, this is the first SNES game I've acquired since September.

FYE had a nice DS game liquidation going on. Finally picked up a couple titles I've wanted for quite a while at a great price (brand new):
Dragon Quest V $19.99
Retro Game Challenge $9.99
it was Alex's $325 was the price. I thought that was fair, I figured about $12 per game avg and the system for $100 is what it worked out to.
All the games have the overlays in their paper sleeves inside the boxes, with manuals, etc. The only games without overlays/boxes were artmaster and animaction.
The rest are really nice complete shape.
Picked this up off CTC this past week...
The box is kinda beat up, and I probably overpaid, but I have never seen a non-Players' Choice box for this game... I didn't even know one existed.
This was the extent of my flea market finds today. Barely any booths were set up.
I started digging through some CDs at one booth, the sealed Toshiba recovery CD set (with Vista!) was first, then I found the Family Guy Season 2 disc 2, and then The PS3 System Software Update Ver. 2.0. They were all $1 a piece. Going out of the booth I saw the Futurama disc, which is actually volume 1 disc 1, and that was also $1.
360 controller was $3. I hope it works. The same booth had some decent games, and all DVDs/games were $2 there. I spotted FFXII for PS2 and CoD4: Modern Warfare for Xbox 360, but when I looked in the cases the games weren't there . They had 2 of the BK Xbox games (Sneak King and the one I got). I already own Sneak King and another, but I couldn't remember which one I needed, so I just decided to buy Big Bumpin' anyway. Hey, it was only $2.
The lonely Datona R-Zone game was $1. It's brand new and all and I'm a sucker for shitty game stuff I wonder if that kid on the front of the package was held at gunpoint or something. There's no way you could be having that much fun with an R-Zone.
Finally the Atari Flashback 7800 mini was a mere $1.
The Futurama and Family Guy disc are for sale, a few buck each. If anybody needs those replacements let me know. The Toshiba Satellite discs are going to eBay, where I expect close to $40 for it.
What's up with this PS3 disc? Was it a pack-in or something? It says "NOT FOR SALE" so I dunno.
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!

Not much luck lately, although I've been happy with some of the sales I've made, so the game goes on. Today I did get a nice little NES lot of CL for $60. I mostly got it for the Vaus controller, which I've been wanting for a while. I figure I should about break even on all this and get to keep the Vaus, or maybe make a little, too. I also add Rampart and several manuals to the collection.
No manual for Rampart, and oddly no Captain Skyhawk game. No other real games of note, but the usual SMB3, MT Punch Out!!, Mega Man 4, and other commons.
The sticker on the vaus controller is from the offiicial nintendo player's guide (black book) if you were wondering.
its pretty tough to find with the stickers in tact, they were packed in the very back on the bottom (i've been trying to find one with the stickers for years) I used my originals on my "password" notebook that I still have, but would be nice to have them still on the sheet.
since i was out of town this week end visiting my brother in law i came across a new game place.
At first i noticed there was lots of choice but everything was so overpriced(ff8 gh used for 74.99 or loose sport gen cart for 9.99...)
With a little searching ive found
-eternal ring ps2 cib 5$
-eoe ps2 cib 5$
-xenosaga 3 ps2 cib 19.99$ (quite happy with this one! found the guide last week for cheap too)
also at the eb games
gunpey psp 2.99$
viva pinata x360 4.99$
Nothing much today.
Sky Jinks & Vanguard for 2600
No One Can Stop Mr. Domino! for PS1 (no manual either)
Yesterday
CIB Game Boy Advance SP AGS-001 Flame red... too bad it was a day after the 50% off at Goodwill, but for 14.99, I cannot complain. Also got Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction expansion cd with key for 1.99 the day before that.
Whaddya mean invalid parameters?!
9,000 gigs of ram and it still can't answer a simple question!
This is an accumulation of 3 months or so of finds. The holidays really depleted game supplies at the thrifts and used game stores, so decent finds are few and far between. Spent a little more than I normally would on a couple, but I'll get over it.

The miracle piano was a great find, although I don't know what I'm going to do with it. T-Mek and Jurassic Park are also tougher to find, so I was happy when I saw those. I've been looking for a copy of Mario Bros for a few years now in the wild, so I grudgingly shelled out $10 for it. I'll probably find a copy for $2 next week, that is if luck has taught me anything.
