Like the title says I'm trying to make a checklist/timeline of all the North America officially licensed home game systems. The guidelines I’m going by in terms of a “home game system” are:
1. It has to have a separate item (cart, card, or CD) to play a game. (This is to exclude things like the pong systems, the Atari Flash backs and other plug N’ play systems)
2. Its main purpose has to be the games. (This is to exclude the older PCs like Ti-99, Commodore 64, and others)
3. It does not require more than the one item to play the majority of games. (This is to exclude things like the Hyperscan Where all games require cards to play)
4. It can’t be targeted to one age group. (this is to exclude things like the V Smile and other learning systems)
5. It can’t be a Handheld. (this is to exclude things like Game Boy, Game Gear, and others Handheld)
6. It has to have more than one genre of game. (This is to exclude the XaviX)
Using the guidelines this is what I have so far.

I’m looking for anything that I missed that fits into the guidelines and if the system ever had a re-release I need the date of the re-release. (IE Genesis 2, 3, and so on)
These are the guidelines that I’m using in my personal collection if anyone wants one removed and can supply a good reason for removing it I will.
