Picked up one of the most iconic games of the 70's, I think - $50 and it's working

Dam nice find. Congrats
Bastard....lol. Very nice find and in great shape it seems too. Congrats and good luck with it, I loved that game as a kid.
I just got an Atari Lemans for free, but there is a chip problem I believe. It powers up and looks great in attract mode, but once you press start the track messes up and the car rolls through the screen for about 75% of the game. After that, it stops and you can pay for the remaining time. I'm hoping its just a ROM problem.

Nice find! Judging by some videos I watched of the game play, does the unit put out good bass?

awesome, post some pics of it working
I remember playing this back when I was around 8 years old circa 1978. There was an old Kings Department store (now defunct) in my neighborhood and they had this game and a Death Race in front of the registers. I used to play them both while my mom was shopping. I SUCKED at this game, but loved playing it because of the insanely cool motorcycle handlebar controller. Back in the late 70's, it didn't get much better.
Congrats on a super find !!
I'll take the Taxi pin behind it...
Now you just need to get this Stunt Cycle while you are at it!
