He's lying right on his seller page. He says that all of these items come from a non smoking collector's home when there's no way he's owned all of this stuff for that long or built that much up. We've seen many auctions where he's bought items on Ebay to resell so how does he know if they're from a non smoking home or even a collector for that fact?

Are you serious? There is nothing in his description that claims he has owned them from the beginning. All it says is that the items are coming from a non-smoking collector's home prior to being shipped out. As long as he is non-smoking and a collector, his description is accurate. Look, I don't like this guy either and I hope nobody buys from him, but I really think his auctions intentionally or not make a strong statement against the foolishness of VGA grading.

I saw that this douche changed his name to "video_game_quality" and has completely insane prices on every one of his auctions. I saw his auctions again after kinda forgetting about him, and I was just so annoyed with the guy I wanted to bring him back up.

I checked his history and saw that none of his "graded" items have sold, with the exception of an NES system for $1,779.99.

I wonder how much he racks up in ebay charges when he has to keep relisting them?

There is no such statutory or legal framework governing "grading". Anyone can create their own grading scale and apply it however they want to. There is also no requirement that this seller or anyone else disclose that they are doing the grading themselves or that they created the scale.

By all means, buy out their stock then. Many scams are completely 'legal'.

I have zero interest in graded games just like I have zero interest in paying ridiculous prices for sealed games. My only point was that his scale is not any more or less ridiculous than VGA or any other grading system. I also fail to see where the "scam" is here. Perhaps you can explain it to us since you are so obsessed with this guy.

A disinterested party is never first or second. That's a base requisite for such an appraisal, disinterest. And it is their grading system, they changed over to integrate the grading name brand, so the whole thing speaks for itself, if you look and think for a second or two.

VGA is not disinterested either, in fact, they make money for the grading and they make money by perpetuating the idea that grading makes games more valuable thus generating more business. In fact, I have never met any seller or person engaging in a business that is truly disinterested in the business or arena they are operating in. This guy invented a grading system, but he also makes it clear that he's grading his own stuff, so I'm just not seeing the scam. Is it ridiculous? Yes. Is everything he's selling completely overpriced in my opinion? Yes. Is he engaged in a scam or other conduct which violates Ebay's policies? Nope.

And a steal at only $580 dollars. Just for fun I looked at some of his recent purchases and I am waiting to see which of them appear in his store as newly graded games and to see how much he jacks up the price over what he paid.

Nah, he's doing it for the cash. For every 100 people that laugh at him and make a stink about it on some forum, there is one dumbass willing to pay $580 for a $10 game. If I had a chance of $570 appearing in my bank account every so often I wouldn't stop either.

I've seen some feedback left for these items, some aren't even sealed yet they're graded. These have to be overpriced or else I've lost touch with the value on these things. A used loose N64 for $160.00, that takes the cake for me.

We're on the same page here. There is simply no way that someone is dropping that kind of coin on a basic N64 when lower prices are right there staring them in the face.
