i bought all of them, but only with free wii points from pepsi rock band bottle caps

its a tough question. if you enjoyed episode 1 and the original ffiv, then pick them up

but overall, the after years is fan fiction quality in story. the battles are fun and old school simple, but the random encounter rate is brutal. i cant recommend the whole package to a casual fan. all that said, i liked the game (but again, i didnt really "buy" it)
