Ben Heckendorn, whether you like what the guy does or not, there's something very very impressive about designing and building your own pinball machine from scratch. Not gutting and re-skinning an old table ... but literally designing the playfield, writing the code for the sounds, music, events, led display, etc and machining the entire thing ... it's downright staggering IMO.
