SALE PENDING - THREAD KEPT FOR POSTERITY

Hey all,

I am selling my barely used MAS Systems "Super Nova" / "Super Gun". She has served me well in her short time, but thanks to a consolized MVS board she has become redundant. I was originally going to start investing in arcade boards, but realized all the ones I want I already have on console. So she needs a good home to go to.

Item Condition
Practically new, with barely any ware on her at all. The person I bought this off of originally hadn't even had it for a month and had to sell due to moving out of country. I personally have logged in maybe 10, 20 hours tops on one joystick, and there's maybe 5 to 6 hours tops on the other joystick. Sticks are clean, nice and shiny decals and buttons. Sticks are nice and clicky, work beautifully. I played through UN Squadron twice on this thing and that A button still works like a charm.

The set-top box has two small ware areas. One, on the back, bottom side out of view is a small dent in the corner of the wood. Was like that when I got it, doesn't affect it at all. The other is a small piece of tape wear on the top left area of the resting spot. A blade would remove it instantly, but I'm a klutz and don't feel like cutting myself or the board.

The box is set-up for JAMMA harness, and has a extra harness that I would *assume* is the kick harness for Street Fighter / MK etc. My MVS Board only used the Jamma part, and UN Squadron used the extra harness for sound.











If you use an MVS (Neo Geo) board with it, so long as the MVS board has the controller ports you can use either Neo Controllers or the MAS joysticks.

XIan XI over at JammanationX.com has told me that he can modify his external AES Component mod to work with the SuperGun, for those that may want to upgrade it to Component.

I hate to see her go, but I really wouldn't use her anymore.

I'm not very familiar with these rigs. What does it play? MVS carts?

Technically

The Super Gun / Super Nova is a "middle man" - essentially the box is what allows you too hook up an arcade motherboard to a standard TV.

It just so happens that the Super Nova is designed to be an "all in one" with pre-made joysticks. If you want to play MVS Neo Geo Carts on it, you would just need to plug in a MVS Jamma arcade board to it, and then you're good to go with any MVS Cart.

If you wanted to play a Capcom CPS2 game (Like Marvel Vs Capcom), you would just need the CPS2 bottom board and the MvSF top board, and plug that into the Super Nova.
