What's up with islands? Get more land.
What's up with deserts? Get less sand.
Yes. And no, it doesn't look fake. What make you think there were SNES model 2 knock-offs out there? That controller is third party, though.
because of this

It's pretty common knowledge.

Can someone link to the image of the auction? ebay keeps redirecting me to "recommendations", as the bidding has ended.

Man, they provided a pretty low-res picture.
From what I can tell, it's real. Fake ones are shinier and thus would have more glare from a camera flash than that. Controller ports appear dark like the real ones.

This might not be the fourm to ask but is there anything I can do to clean that marker off of it? When i get it.

Most people recommend just using rubbing alcohol. Pretty basic solution and probably not the best either.

I have tried rubbing alcohol on a game and it didnt work to get marker off.

Now there SNES 2 fakes going around now..
or Nintendo revised the Motherboard
I use a few different things to get marker off of my games:
- Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work great. This product is, essentially, a sponge with really find sandpaper-ish like material on one side. Wet the Magic Eraser, and scrub the marked area.
- Goo Gone works well in conjunction with the Magic Eraser. Take a cotton swab and soak one end in Goo Gone (I have a spray bottle of it. One or two sprays should be enough) and coat the marked area slightly with the Goo Gone solution. Then scrub the area with the Magic Eraser.
If it doesn't get the marker off completely, it'll be gone enough for you to not notice it.
Also I don't think the person who is selling it knows too much, because they have an RF switch and the SNES 2 doesnt support RF out....

Huh, well I'll be damned. Learn something new everyday. Damn bootleggers giving us something new to look out for. :/ When were the bootlegs made and how prevalent are they? Were they made for sale in a different country or were they pirated specifically for the US market?
A side note: the SNES 2 doesn't support s-video. Just felt like throwing that in there in case someone doesn't know.
Oh, I forgot about that. This came with the first-party N64/Gamecube RF adapter.

Interesting to note that the Gamecube RF adapter is the same as the NES one, just with the little dongle.
