It's a variant. FF7 was well known for that, as I believe the first printing had that error.
I'll do you a favor Beta. I'll take a picture of my WIP room right now when I get home tonight and post it on the forum. I moved all of my stuff into one 12'x12' room and I can barely walk in there right now. Most of the black label version of FF7 have that error.
Also, I have 2 Master Systems...did you ever pick one up? I'm trying to pick up a CIB Master System, so I'd be willing to make the drive down some time to swap some stuff or just meet up with the other South Floridians.
...we all should really just all meet up in Deerfield or something for a meet-and-greet and trade. Halfway between the two major areas down south. I'd be able to make it if it were quarterly, maybe monthly. The Lauderdale Flea Market may not be a bad place to meet either.
You have a spare SMS? Do want! So long as it's a model 1. Anything you're looking for besides a CIB SMS?

As Videogamerdaryll walked off into the distance 2XL cried a single tear, knowing no one else would be intereseted in buying him .
Anyway, I did my local flea on Sunday. Got a Ford car stereo for $3 and a copy of Pink Floyd's "Pulse" (Blinking LED version). Stereo's going to eBay and Pulse is going to my music library. I didn't find anything else, though the market was full there just wasn't any video game stuff. (I am regretting not buying a copy of Mike Tyson's Punch Out for $4. I already have 5 copies of that game and I need to start selling them on eBay...)
and OMG UnpluggedClone, that's not a real NWC shirt? Awesome.
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!

That's not a real NWC shirt. There was a mass produced version of it a couple years back to celebrate the anniversary. I asked someone who was wearing one a couple weeks ago.
I've had the opportunity to get a CIB SMS three times now, but each time the deal fell through. My last attempt was for $70 shipped, and the person decided to trade for TG-16 games instead of NES games (can't blame the guy).
I'm always looking for CIB Sega games, especially Saturn/Sega CD and I won't turn down any cardboard boxes...A word of caution though, I haven't gotten the card slot on one and the cartridge slot on the other to work together. I haven't cleaned them since I got them though.
Some recent finds courtesy of ebay...
Gaiares (Genesis) CIB - $11
Ranger X (Genesis) CIB - $5. Too bad that this game was vastly overlooked. It's awesome!
On a side note, I was looking at completed listings and I noticed that there was an NES auction for Bubble Bobble w/manual and Bubble Bobble Part 2 that ended, unsold, at 99 cents! How the f'n hell did everybody miss that?!
Find me on here http://www.soundcloud.com/lee-w-1
Found Toki: Going Ape Spit (Genesis) and Dead Angle (SMS) both cib $4 ea.
I didn't have much time to go thrifting today, only hit two stores. Ended up with a Greatest Hits version of Doom and Crash Bandicoot Warped for 99¢ each. The Sony automatic A/V selector is new in box, $15.99 for that one. And the Texas Instruments Speak & Math was $2.99. One of the employees spotted it in my hand and told me how lucky I was to find it, since people are buying them all up to hack nowadays.
From the last few days of thrifts...
Age of Empires, sealed-$3
The Fool's Errand, complete with hint book-$2
Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2 DVD-$2
N64 Goldeneye, missing only manual-$3
PS1 Activision Classics, Skullmonkeys, The Great Beanstalk and Putter Golf, $2 each
Game Boy Pokemon Yellow-$5
I have a copy of Arkanoid: Doh It Again that I bought new back around 1997 (give or take a year) that didn't include a dust cover so I always assumed some of the SNES stuff made late in the system's life didn't come with a dust cover. This always seemed to stick out to me as it's the only new game I clearly remember not including a dust cover for the SNES. I always figured ite was a small cost cutting thing much like the dreaded cardboard boxes for Genesis games.
That auction was surely ended early. The seller probably had a change of heart or wasen't getting any bids early on and was afraid of the auction ending way short of what they were hoping for or the average going rate.
I've seen some funny things before on eBay. I got a few fairly common NES games complete shipped for about $3 each a few years ago and was looking at some of the other completed auctions from this seller just out of curiosity since they were selling a number of complete games and IIRC they had all of the NES Dragon Warrior games CIB which all ended at .99 but I would guess that the bidder struck a deal with the buyer and didn't actually end (or end early) that low.
Got some nice stuff didn't really get great deals but I think I did alright.
Joe and Mac
Secret of Mana
Sunset riders
Soulblazer
Got those for $75
I collect for: Odyssey2, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, ColecoVision, NES, SNES, N64, SMS, Genesis, Dreamcast, PSX, and TI-99/4A
I've always been terrible at fighting games, but there's just something about a nice arcade stick...
Super Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition-S (PS3). Arrived today from Amazon.
"One of the ways I gauge a DS game is by recharges. "...Tycho (Penny Arcade)
Since I was asked, here's the entrance to my room:
Also, for Unplugged...you aren't the only one to find a display. No unit, sadly, but for $15 I can't complain:
I've taken ~30 photos, so for those following along, I'll post some in the coming week once I charge my phone again. That room has 2/3 of my collection in it currently.
No finds today, the flea market had next to nothing. I did find a couple of PS1 games... which were snatched up by a fat kid who just stared at me when I looked at the games in his hand. (A Wipeout game and ATV Racing, one of a series of "games" made by Miracle Designs, which I've been trying to collect.)
I did find something really weird, but I didn't buy it - The Ren and Stimpy SPUMCO Log, brand new in box. It was beat up, but it was new. I should've bought it, I can't find completed eBay listings and there's none for sale at Amazon... Doh.
And remember that copy of Wu-Tang Shaolin Style? Well it's missing its disc! )#Q@$)@#&$)@&$@& DAMMIT!
