You realize who you're talking to, right? Garbage games are my forte.
Anyway, today's finds:
Civilization III complete (sealed DVD in jewel case) - $1
Star Trek Armada, Star Trek Armada II (CDs in jewel case) - $2
The former's worth around $25 on eBay, the latter's $50-75. Whee.

Found these sitting at Goodwill...
Yep...factory-sealed! $4.99 each. I already have the game, so they're up for grabs if anybody is interested!

I know! I haven't seen that game in quite awhile! They both came from Target (they still have the Target security sticker on the back)!

I got this for five dollars from a guy selling off all his old nintendo games from his old rental store.

Congratulations on being the only other person this month to find a Toshiba Nuon DVD player! By the way, if you're looking for something to play on those but you can't locate any games for it, pick up the DVDs of the movies Planet of the Apes (new sucky remake), Dr. Doolittle 2 (not recommended), Bedazzled (great and easy to find) or The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension (cult classic). They all have a few Nuon enhancements, although the Planet of the Apes discs were badly mastered and you have to really look deep in the menus to find the Nuon menu.
My doctor's appointment didn't take very long today, so I hit a few thrifts in the area. Found four TI Home Computer cartridges (Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Speech Editor, and Star Trek Strategic Operations) for $1.91 each. Then I found Hydro Thunder and Test Drive 6 for the Dreamcast for $1.99 each, a weird audio book (like the kind you see in truck stops and such) called The Bronze Axe for $3.49. And since I bought a Star Trek game earlier, I bought the soundtrack to the show Enterprise, since I was one of the minority that actually liked the theme song to it. 99¢ for that one.
I had the Enterprise theme stuck in my head the other day... That got a LOT of radio play around here back then. I would not object to a similar theme if they ever do another series.
How's the rest of the music? I'm trying to remember the background music from the series but I'm drawing a blank.
Two Wico Balltops for $3 each, and Alien Syndrome for the SMS loose for $4.
"I've not seen such bravery!"
It's pretty good. I really don't pay that much attention to the background music in shows, so hearing it separate from the visuals is kind of interesting. The CD has the original theme song along with the shortened one used in the actual intro. Plus there's a concert video of the singer on the disc, and he doesn't look like his voice would lead me to believe.
Goodwill lot sale again.....
And my bad habit of buying CDs solely on cover art or band name continues.
All the CDs were $0.50 a piece and come with manual and case, unless noted
F.M. Knives "Useless and Modern"
Jellyfish "Spilt Milk" (awwww, who could avoid cover art like that?) And I think I like them, I've listened to a few of their tunes. Very retro! and by retro I mean "early 90s alternative rock"-ish.
Sad Like Crazy "Populist Octopus"
The Police "Every Breath You Take"
Bose Wave Radio/CD Demonstration CD (new)
Emperor: Battle for Dune (only discs 1 & 4, lol I thought there was only 2 discs to this set, I guess these are FS/FT and cheap if anybody wants/needs them)
VCD "The Relic"
Sim City 2000 Special Edition (disc only)
and Universal Music CD Sampler 99 No. 4 It's a promo CD with English and Korean(?) text on it. Apparently not a bootleg. It's got Ace of Base on it, which is a group that my sister likes.
The Police CD was bought because I like the PartyBen mashup that uses it's title song. Both FM Knives and Sad Like Crazy are local Austin, TX bands so it's nice to sample the local-ish music. I thought that "The Relic" would be an interesting Asian movie, but it seems that its not, it's just got Korean or whatever sub/dub. Oh well.
More stuff:
Laura's Book Tomb Raider book thingy - $0.50
2 loose (maybe working?) original xboxes - $5 a piece
loose NES in need of a little cleaning (which I can't wait to do) - $3
loose Palm z22 (Zire?) - $1 (Hooked it up to my computer and it does nothing.... Does it need any other cables? All I see on it is USB)
Hello Kitty portable CD player - $1 >_>
And thats it, not bad at all I say.
EDIT:
YAAAAAY!!!! 1000th post!

Let it charge for a loooonnnnng time and it may wake up. I bought one of these at a yard sale for the same price a few years ago and after having it hooked up to my computer for an hour or two, I figured it was dead. I forgot about it, and about 10-12 hours later I went to unplug it, and tried it one more time. Started right up. Pretty crappy device, though.

Picked up New Super Mario Bros. Wii in gently used condition from a Craigslist ad for $20.
Was glad to get it for a low price and in pretty good condition for being used.
