I watched to whole series with a friend. That is painful to sit through. I want to like Lucky Star with the characters and the humor but its just boring.

I watched it start to finish about a year ago, and loved it. I would say more about it, but I don't want to derail this thread anymore than I already have.

We now return to your regularly scheduled finds thread...

I should be there next Saturday...I plan to go to the near by race track afterward..
.I'm hoping to hit some Garage sales if I don't go..

I tested the Turbo Duo's CD part today and it works..

    Updated the slideshow.

I then took a tooth brush to the system and cleaned it..

Now what I'd like is 1 Great Turbo CD game for it...(and to hunt down the AV..

I have a Turbo express and a TG 16 with games..Since I got this I'm rounding all of it up..getting back into the interest of collecting for this...

A special thanks to the lightening-fast PM responses and aide of knowledge provided by our own TheDomesticInstitution. Without his help, I might have let these nuggets of gold (boulders, actually!) loose from the pan...

My personal best craigslist find... Two 37in Mitsubishi XC-3730C RGB/Component/VGA/S-Vid/Composite MegaView/DiamondPro broadcast monitors, each in a wheeled protective case that doubles as a stand. Yes, they handle 15khz analog RGB - NTSC, and PAL, and SECAM etc. Insanity! Remotes included, cables too. And how much? $150 for both!

Just need a scart to 5 BNC or 15-pin D connector and some scart cables for my systems and I can finally swim in a river of pure warm chocolate pudding!!!

I really don't enjoy gloating, just think of it as exuberance. Uber variety, Top-shelf exuberance.

Here's what 37in looks like ladies. The roadcases are 40inches wide, for some sense of scale.

Pssst! Over here! You can see my inputs for 100 gold. Naw, it's free today.

From left to right: (2) 5BNC RGB1 Connections You can hook up the VGA/BNC cable to one and the Component to BNC cable to the other. I can hook up Dreamcast and up right now. Eventually, I'm going to get a Scart to BNC for my classic consoles. Until then, I can run composite and s-vid through my VGA transcode/converter and get a decent picture.

15-pin D connector - RGB2 - I've never seen this type before, think it might be proprietary. I goes to the RGB2 channel though, that much is certain. I don't even know the pin-out.

Select Source input... IDK WTF this is.

    (2) BNC and RCA Composite - Durr

S-VHS Connector (AKA S-Vid) Double Durr

    (3) Stereo Audio inputs, (2) for Video1 and Video2 and (1) for RGB

2ohm stereo speaker output connection - Let's you switch/toggle between the built-in stereo speakers and an external set. IDK the power rating of the sets amp (if any) or if this is for amp input/passive speakers.

They are much bigger and more imposing in person than what they look like in the photos. The sets themselves weight 210lbs and the cases bring them close to 300lbs each. Thankfully, the cases have excellent wheels that made moving on level land a breeze. And doubly thankful that Fuyukaze could help me get them out of the truck and bring them in today.

The wires are connected to a set of dipswitches to set the reset timer. They have a molex connector so you can remove the console and put in another. The switches are not requires for play.

No problem. I'm not the biggest tech head on RGB modding and stuff around here, but I'll always lend what I know. These are nice monitors indeed, and they should last you a long time. The road cases are handy huh? You can lift the tops off with one person but it's tricky for someone who doesn't do it all the time. You need to brace it with your knees or shin below the handles, and pull the handles up and toward you at a 45ish degree angle. All the while keeping an equal force near the bottom of the lid with your legs. It's a lot easier done, than said- I've just had to unload a shitload of them. Anyway good score. I always keep my eye out for pro monitors, but they're not easy to find. That and I don't think they're being made anymore, it's all plasma and lcd now- a shame, but much more convenient.

I found two clear plastic SNES/Genesis/N64 single-game cases. Each one had printed rental instruction inserts inside: one for Diddy Kong Racing and the other for Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire. Both were free. Didn't have boxes for either game so I'll use those until that changes.

Noticed that a Blockbuster near me was closing. Went to see if they had anything good, spent $5 on Monster Madness: Batlle for Suburbia for the 360. Also found a Galoob toy pinball machine for $4 at Goodwill.

I've had a pretty good week so far.

Saturday I got a copy of Gran Turismo for $1 and Gears of War collectors edition $5 (it's missing the silp cover) I also got a beat up nintendo power for 50 cents.

Today I went to my local thrift and got another copy of Team Buddies for $8 I also got a ps2 memory card for $3 and season 2 of Alf for $5.

You gotta love the covers of old nintendo power mags.
