I owned one of these back in the day. All of my video game systems were connected to it. Great power strip. Enjoyed Classic Game Room's review. Thanks for the link.
Just saw one on Ebay for over $100!

Great to have at at collector stand point, but I rather just purchase a similar one for 90% less.

Hey yo!
Sega had to make this.. so you could hook up you Genesis/Sega CD/32X!
Sega - lookin out for ya
That's bad ass, but seriously, $100 for a power strip with the Sega logo?
The big advantage I see is that you could plug in the transformer end of sega units and not lose the use of the adjacent outlet(s). Which is what happens with most regular power strips. I don't think it is worth the extra money just for that though.
When I come home from a long day in Hell, there's nothing I'd rather reach for than a fire-brewed bottle of Styx Beer. Made from the filthiest waters from our own River Styx. Styx Beer is a third more toxic than any other regular beer. The worst beer - the filthiest beer - the deadliest beer. It's Styx Beer!
I've got one. Who wants it? 2k monies and its sold! (*i'll also accept serious offers as well)
Seriously though, its designed to handle the old AC bricks, its quite nice to not loose plugs due to how the plugs are shaped and spaced. I got one from my old indy shop after they closed. Partial payment for helping to move everything into storage.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

Power Squid, FTW.Seriously though, its designed to handle the old AC bricks, its quite nice to not loose plugs due to how the plugs are shaped and spaced.
I've got to admit that it's very cool. If I had a Sega CD and Sega 32X I would definitely try and find a Power Strip like that one.
Like that comment one YTer had, that the Angry Video Game Nerd should buy one. He had that dilemma in a video where he couldn't get those three plugs for the Genny, CD and 32X plugged in at once.
I've never seen one, but my 32X came with a a little flyer for it.
Wouldn't it be cool if someone could invent an all-in-one power supply for this situation?
Don't go away mad....just go away!
This type works better because it has one switch for each outlet. You can turn off system plugs that are not in use, thereby eliminating "vampire drain."

YES! I remember seeing this thing and being like, "God damn. Sega KNEW that they designed some fucked up shit, but they are making it right."
Never got one though.
As a grown up living in the future year of 2010, I have one of those long ass metal powerstrips with plugs pointed in the same way. Although that one posted above me looks sexy and I do worry about vampires in my wiring. Once they're in the walls you'll never get them out.

WTF is a Dim-Mac?!?!?
As someone above said, they advertised this with a flyer in the 32X box. They obviously knew they screwed up with the power plugs and had to correct it. The flyer even mentions another Genesis accessory that had yet another plug -- the Sega Channel!

"What do you do? Don't Panic! Would Truxtan panic? No!"
Actually, I was most impressed when he put in the Colecovision adaptor and it still looked roomy.

I have forgotten to feed my fish...
Where can I find a generic power strip that has the same kind of spacing?
