I'm only going on about 3 hours of sleep today, but I do believe that I like it a lot.

Such a cool roster on the Capcom side ... love me some Rad Spencer, Haggar, Chris and Wesker.

I think generally speaking all of the Vs. series have been a bit of a cluster fuck, or they progressed to that point, but even if they are they're still plenty of fun with friends and if the room isn't full of absolute experts there's a reasonable point of entry for novice players to have a shot at winning matches.

    Good stuff. Good stuff.

My LE/CE edition was sealed. It came with the outer game box, the tin and comic book sealed together. The Comic book has the codes to get the characters in March as well as the one month comics thing.

Inside the case is the manual and game. But where is the artbook? Is it after the comic, in the same book?
Yeah. There's twelve pages of 'comic', and a bunch of concept art.

So yeah, this game is a "Vs. Game". It's fun, the last boss sucks ass, and I'm not very good at it.

There's a few issues I have with the game, namely that a few features seem less evolved than SSFIV. The mission mode isn't very well implemented, I've had more trouble with lag online, and even though it only took me twenty minutes to unlock the four characters, I still had to unlock four characters.

On the other hand, the training mode is godlike.

    Aye.

I played on normal and at the fifth match or so, I got beaten by the threesome (). the game was a tad tough, not because it actually is, but because I got used to the original style controls, not the new version controls. Also, I had NO IDEA how to switch characters, which made things incredibly harder.

Need to read the manual I guess...

This is me to a T.

Mission Mode can suck my ass. I spend 10 minutes doing the same Super Skrull HC combo because the game doesn't like when I'm canceling Orbital into the super. Come on now.

Also: I stink. This is good though. Can't wait to get better.

Galactus is some bullshit alright. It seems you can avoid or block all of his attacks, but jesus. One go, I had Phoenix left purposely with 5 bars. He does his eye beam super and the chip INSTANTLY puts her in Dark mode. The CHIP! What the hell. Of course, thankfully, he died immediately because DPh does insane damage.

Right now, I'm running Haggar/Super Skrull/Sentinel. Haggar is just lol, Skrull is incredibly easy to pick and play and Sentinel is a giant crutch. :P Tron is unwieldy because her drill is now a reserve dragon punch on ground or in air. Just doesn't flow right doing that and much of her game with me was rushdown with that drill.

Do the darkforce super with Hsien-Ko, tag her out, and then abuse the hell out of the pendulum assist. Sooooo goooood, with practically every character too.

I never played Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, but it's on my want list. I'm a long time fan of the Vs series, but I'm a little hesitant to pull the trigger on this one until I play it. I also don't like the 2.5D look of the characters, but I suppose that was inevitable.

Then again, with MvC 2 being available on the 360 now, I may never get around to 3.

Same goes for Arthur. Hit Gold Armor, DHC out, spam Fire Bottle assist.

Arthur is too fun! And the Fire Bottle assist is great.

I've been using Storm, who is less busted in this game than in 2 but still has some stupidly good stuff, Morrigan, because I used her in TvC and she's even better than she was before, and... Goddammit... Sentinel, because you sort of have to. At least in this stage of the game.

I found that it's crazy easy to get single character kills using storms' S+Atk lightning forward hit confirmed into HC of choice. S+atk is safe on block (I think!), and you can just spam it at the last guy standing: he WILL hit a button, and lightning forward will probably beat it, and then you DHC and yay a winner is you. Just random knowledge!

Whew, unlocked all the currently available unlockable characters, thankfully it wasn't a chore like Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom or MvsC2.

    4 Wonderswan Consoles, 98 CIB Wonderswan/Color Games
    6 Wonderswan Accessories,1 Wonderswan Prototype

Yeah, my problem with bullshit Vs. games final bosses is figuring out how to beat them legitimately instead of just going to straight up very easy mode. Can you block that ridiculous team killing eye-beam? The chip from that killed Morrigan at half life. You sure as Hell can't dodge it. Maybe you can fly over it?

Answer: who cares. All characters unlocked: I'll never go through arcade mode again.

Wow, once I figured out the rhythm of them I'm loving the flow of She Hulk's moves and wondering how a nearly endless combo/juggle (albeit a very slow one) in the flash kick > run > flash kick > run > etc. was even allowed.

I know that the cpu is generally dumb, but I find that even on the hard settings it typically can't break that. Can anybody confirm that a human player can get stuck in that loop just as easily?

Who's shaping up to be the best bruiser? I haven't played it yet, but I am thinking my initial trail team is going to be Dante, Iron Man and either Haggar or Hulk. On paper, it looks like a good mix-up.

It's true. As opposed to the damage decay that 2 had, now we have hit stun decay. Basically, your opponent will be a chew toy longer the earlier in a combo it is. So the longer you go, the less stun you'll inflict, so the combo will eventually end because it's impossible to link it anymore. What you're doing with She Hulk would eventually end. This is to stop infinites.

Of course, it does nothing to inhibit 100% combos. :P

100% combo is the new infinite. And Lo: there was a lot of whining on the internet. :P I'm actually shocked no one else has thought of applying scaling to hit stun before: it solves a LOT of problems. Good job, Eighting!
