    Default list of useless accessories?

While cleaning up today I found a ps3-ps2 memory card adapter. The USB one that you plug into the ps3 and it allows you to copy ps2 memory cards to your ps3 HDD.

While it works fine with my older fat ps3, this thing is absolutely useless for slim models isn't it? With no ps2 BC, there is no use for this thing.

    Are there other useless accessories?

Game Gear TV Tuner. No more analog broadcasts, at least in the U.S.

    I second this.

Anyways. With the PSX/PS2 Memory Card adapter, you also have PSX games that are compatible with the slim PS3. So it still has a use.
Everything in the above post is opinion unless stated otherwise.

If you hook it up directly, it works.

Oh really? I didn't know that it worked with psx cards as well. Awesome

Plus you can use it for playing console games on your Game Gear, with the correct cable adapters... there are videos on Youtube of playing Xbox 360, Wii, etc. on the Game Gear.

The adapter is less useful than it used to be, certainly, but it still does have a few uses.

Besides the already mentioned PSOne uses, it also allows you to archive PS2 saves. Say you have a card full of saves for something like RPG's that you want to save and need some room on your memory card, you can transfer those to even non PS2 compatible PS3's for storage to save them for transferring back at a later date.

The GBA Wireless Adapter. Only really used for Pokémon, and even then, it's easier to use the link cables instead.

You second it? I'm not even sure I understand it.

Anyways, sense I occasionally see them at goodwill, I'm going to say old Ni-Cad battery packs for Game Boys and whatnots. There is very little chance that they are going to still hold a charge after all these years.

    Edit...
Oh, this is in modern gaming. Hmmm...how about all those wii remote addons to make it look like a baseball bat, golf club, light saber, etc...All those are good for is making it more likely that you'll knock a lamp over.

Someone never played 4P Mario Kart or Four Swords or... I have like 6 of the things. Love them and use them exclusively. Wired, never again. Also works with the two Gamecubes each with a GBA player I have. Hence 6 of them. 4 for the SPs, 2 for the 'cubes.

Powerglove is Nintendo's shame. Many think it's the Virtual Boy, but no, that is actually their regret.

Regarding the PS1/2 Memory Card Adapter, I bought one just in case someone comes up with a way to use them like a DexDrive in the future. Still haven't seen anything yet, but it was only like $3 so I'm not crestfallen over it or anything.

GBC infrared. Wow, I can turn on my television with my Game Boy. Assuming I am two inches from my TV that is.

What about that piece of plastic you jammed your Nintendo Entertainment System controller into to "put the speed at your fingertips"? The SPEEDBOARD!

The Sega Channel adapter as the service isn't around anymore. I would say the X-Band Modem too, but apparently there's a couple of hidden mini-games on it so I guess it could still be used for something.

Any of those old floppy disk back-up units are kind of useless now as there's flash carts available which are easier to use.

Mario Kart is compatible with it? I heard that the games had to be specially programmed to use it, and the only games that where compatible where Pokémon FireRed, LeafGreen, and Emerald; you had to use standard link cables for everything else.

Well, at least the official, Nintendo-made one is like that. Maybe you got a 3rd party one that has far greater compatibility, and as a result, is far more useful.

-R.O.B. (unless you have comlete copies of Stack Up or Gyromite.... And even then, you don't need ROB, just someone who will operate the second controller).
-Superscope 6 (only one game released for it, and it sucked... Sega had a similar product that flopped just as hard)
-The Gameboy Printer (I know they fetch a good deal of cash, but they were completely useless. And you knew from the day it was first released that Nintendo would drop support for it after about 6 weeks.)

To clarify, Super Scope is the name of the SNES light gun, and Super Scope 6 was the name of the game that was bundled with said light gun...there was a lot more support for the Super Scope than just one game. Yoshi's Safari, X-Zone, Revolution X, T2...all in all, there were about 12 or so games made for it.
