Default Looking for recommendations for my office

I work in a family-friendly nonprofit environment, and we want to put an arcade cab in the corner to pass some time. I'm looking for recommendations on specific games.

Here are the requirements, based on the people who come through our office:

    • 1-player mode, plus at least 2-player multiplayer
    • No graphic violence, military themes, horror, drug use, etc.
    • No intense competition between players (i.e. Street Fighter)
    • Easy-to-understand gameplay
    • Rounds or levels that would allow some sense of accomplishment after various lengths of play

Toobin' is a good one that's come up in conversations. Any other ideas?

    Thanks!

Mappy is a good one, it's non violent, it has accomplishments in levels, the only issue is it gets difficult a bit quick. It's a good one for kids though as you play a cartoon mouse out to get stolen items from a cat and his gang. Early 80's arcade game from Namco.

I was going to say Metal Slug 2, but no blood or military themes? C'mon. That's lame. You should do some negotiation. But seriously, I would have to recommend Toobin for family-friendly, 2 player fun.

Taking a cue from your avatar, a Simpsons cab would likely be a crowd pleaser.

MAME cabinet? You could control the content that's installed on it.

How about a ninja turtles cab? Great game, 4 player, and fun too! But I'd have to agree with portnoyd on a Simpsons cab. It is equal to, if not better than ninja turtles.

Maybe Gauntlet or Super Sprint would fit the bill.

    A 48-in-1 or a 60-in-1 would be good.

You can turn off any games you don't want. For example, 1943 is a military game and you can turn it off so it can't be played or even show up in the menu.

Any number of multi player puzzle games would be good. Especially the ones where doing something good will drop stuff on the other players screen.
