Default Las Vegas Pinball Hall Of Fame robbed!

According to the report, it sounds like a bunch of crackheads - They went after the copper.

I just hope a few of the more rare pins weren't damaged... Namely uber-rare The Pinball Circus.

They will remain closed until all repairs are made. And since it's a non-profit orginization, it could be a while... If you're a pinball fan, please donate.

    Unhappy

I went there last time I was in Vegas. It's absolutely amazing, and has a ton of rare pins. I hope nothing was damaged. I'm going to Vegas in May - I'll be sure to swing by and see if they've re-opened yet. I hope they have - it's a staple in my visits to Vegas.

Wow, that's a shame. I hope they recover. Thieves today....I hope they get caught so that whatever was stolen can hopefully be returned.

Well...at least they'll be able to find a ready supply of copper nearby. I hope they can recover.

Man, people like that really disgust me. I hope nothing irreplaceable was damaged.

Phosphor Dot Fossils, Ubikuberalles, and myself visited the Pinball Hall of Fame one evening while taking a break during CGE2K7. The place was really awesome and this is a damn shame.

I live in Vegas and have been meaning to check that place out. Looks interesting. Such a shame but it is Las Vegas after all.

Yea, that's no good. At least they've re-opened and can continue operations. I wasn't aware of Nevada having a 10+ year sentence in copper theft; interesting.

Cripes, I thought the heyday of copper-for-meth was over after the economic implosion. What the hell?

Our state had a problem with that too. Junkyards here no longer buy metal from just anyone. In my state, you have to prove you are a contractor before you can sell large quantities of non-precious metals. If you can't, you either have it hauled off, or recycle it - no cash for it.

Interesting. My brother knows some people in construction and as a side job sometimes will haul their debris to a recycling center or junk yard, granted to only make maybe $50 or so each trip; that's about 5hrs of driving a number of miles to different sites. I wouldn't touch some of the rusty and sharp metals I've seen him take away, but it is a few extra bucks.
