I did garage sales today. There was a big community sale going on in a fancy-schmancy neighborhood.

Sadly, I only got a small bag of things:

Lord of the Rings: Two Towers, Metroid Fusion, Nintendo DS, Star Wars: Apprentice of the Force, Madden 2004, Cabela's Big Game Hunter (2005 ed.), Tekken Advance, Super Mario Advance 4: SMB 3, Dark Arena, Turok Evolution, and Fire Emblem.

That may sound like a sweet pickup but everything is manual only :P. Apparently someone got all those games and a DS before me and left the papers, and the people running the sale just gave them to me for free.

In the bag was also a Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt demo, which is cool.

all the instructions are FS/FT, cheap.

btw, not exactly video game finds but I did find 2 Hohner melodicas (no. 26 and 27) for
$1 a piece. Score!


A melodica looks like this. You blow in it like a whistle and play it like a piano. It sounds like an accordion. The 2 I got are vintage and made of metal and plastic. They are a bit more "space age" looking than this one.

I went yard saling as well and came away with almost nothing gaming related. I picked up a baggie of VideoNow disks for $.50 and a ton of AD&D 1st and 2nd edition PC software for $.50 per disk ($10 total).

I passed up a couple of Publishing software suites because they looked too old to be worthwhile. I was tempted to ask Kitsune if they were worth something

Genesis with games. Some notables include Castlevania Bloodlines (hard case), Sorcerers Kingdom, and Weaponlord. Other good stuff too. Also included three controllers and a few power supplies, also some NES manuals. Two N64 games as well including Bust a Move 2. Found at a local flea market for $2.00.

hit 2 neighborhood sales, overall very crappy stuff, but did grab a polaroid sx-70 land camera in mint condition at the first house I stopped at. Also got an indigo game boy advance with pokemon yellow for $2. There were some things i passed on at one house that i later went back for but it was all sold. That stuff being 2 sirius radio receivers, a new in box mio gps, and a leapster handheld system with about 6 or 7 cartridges. The prices were a little more than I wanted to spend, but after I realized that it was all worth it, it was all sold. Once again punishing me for not trusting my instincts. My dad wanted a gps too, I wish I would of grabbed it. Overall I cant complain though, the land camera was an insane find.

Did a little yard saleing this morning. Found a CIB Home Alone, Super Mario Kart, and Kirby's Avalanche for $2 each. a loose copy of B-52 for NES, a 3do flight stick pro in the box for $4 and an Ecco the Dolphin Sega Pocket Arcade. And two Final Fantasy plushies for $0.50 each.

$20 for all that. Binder is filled with Pokemon cards. GBC is in amazingly mint condition.


All those manuals were 10 cents total.


$1 total for the GC power cable and NES RF cable.


Skate and Ridge Racer 6 were $1.50 apiece.

I stopped at a Trade N' Play tonight and found a disc-only Total Eclipse and a Super Street Fighter II Turbo with a water damaged instruction manual for $7.19 each, and a complete Mortal Kombat for the Sega CD was free (since I bought two used games).
