my feedback-http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48618
It's been a very good week. (mainly because I got a new system )
Anyway here's what I got on Tuesday from my local thrift.
Star Ocean was $8, Metal Gear Solid and Drakengard were mixed in with the dvds so they were $3 a piece instead of the normal $8 and the gamecube microphone was $2.
and here is my new system(s).
The Elite was from the pawn shop and it was bundled with two wirless controllers, one head set, one wifi adapter, Halo 3: ODST, Call of Duty: MW2 and pop cap arcade vol 1 for $220 I really didn't want to buy a used 360 but I thought it was too good of a deal to pass up besides it was manufactured in late 09 so it should be ok.
I got the pro unit at a garage sale on Saturday for $10 it has the RROD but it did boot up a couple of times so I might try fixing it anyway it came with two controllers and in the console was a copy of forza 2.
my finds this week:
from ebay
from thrift stores:
mac $10 no kb or mouse
mac speakers $15
$2 for all of the pico carts
$1 for super tennis and Time Soldiers
$4 for the Kickle NES game
$1 for the CDI remote
$2 for the Atari cart
$3 for the rest of the NES games, for both tiger games, sega battery & tuner and for the P&P golden tee
$1 for each item

Dark Void (Xbox 360, Complete) - $5 (IAP)
Mario Kart 64 - $5 (IAP)
Rocket: Robot On Wheels - $2 (IAP)
Pokemon: Ruby Version - $6
Croc 2 (PC) - .50 (PC) (IAP)
Redneck Rampage: The Early Years - .50 (PC) (IAP)
Virtual Kasparov (PS1, Complete) - .80
Dark Void was from the first sale I stopped by, advertised "Video Games" and was all current & last gen type stuff.
The N64 games I asked about video games and the guy brought out a box with some N64 games & 2 controllers that was already priced as if ready to be sold and just forgotten to be put out. I didn't even try to haggle as the guy mentioned something about Mario Kart being popular or something like that and I think they wrote something about rare (or some buzz word like that) on the box so I figured haggling may be out of the question and didn't even try and offer $5 for both as I was thinking about and should have.
Pokemon said 7.50 on the back and I offered $5 which was countered with $6.
PC games were IAP and Virtual Kasparov was actually from the Salvation Army I stopped at on the way home Friday and was 50% off.
I saw a Coleco Pac-Man Tabletop Friday but it was marked $100
About 37 Genesis Games, 3 Genesis Controllers, N64 With Hookups 3x 1st Party Controllers & 6 Games - $25
The N64 stuff was $5 for System, $1 a game or $10 for all. Genesis $1 each game or controller or $25 for all. I put aside the N64 stuff and started picking out some Genesis games and was gonna try and offer $$20 for the N64 stuff and about 15-20 Genesis games and finally just figured I'd offer $25 for all which was taken and probably too easily.
NES With About 42 Games, 9 SNES Games, Some Misc Stuff, BIG Pile of Manuals & 8 Empty Boxes - $15
The Game Above Bionic Commando Is Urban Champion And Below Track & Field II
This was an unadvertised sale right around the corner from the N64/Genesis find. Asked about games and all of this was brought out. The guy offered it for $20 then said $15 before I even said anything so I didn't argue with him and took it and didn't bother twisting his arm since it was more then fair. The boxes and manuals where all in a bag from which he pulled out the SNES games and of course I asked about it has it was probably just gonna be thrown out and was given to me instead. The Blue N64 controller was also in the bag but I was told it was broken. The system had an AC adaptor that seems to be missing which I'm hoping I missed for the picture but was probably accidently left behind.
Flash Focus (DS, Complete) - $2
The Price Is Right (DS, Complete) - $2
These were both IAP.
Colecovision (Non-working), Steering Wheel, AC Adaptor Brick, 2600 Add-On, Track & Field Controller, 20 2600 Games, Pepper II (CV), Pile of Manuals & Empty Cardboard Boxes (Again) - $20
I found $3 worth of stuff at this sale (non-gaming related) asked about games and it didn't sound too promising but they did mention a Colecovision that didn't work and games and I said I'd be interested. Brought out a box and I wasen't sure what the guy wanted to do I was thinking maybe just fish out the ColecoVision games and keep the Atari stuff. Talking to the guy he mentioned that they would probably never use any of it again, I offered $20 for the box and the other stuff I had and it was taken. Mentioned throwing out the empty boxes & manuals which was the theme of the day but I gladly took them.
ToeJam & Earl 3 (Case & Manual) - Free
No game unfornately as I've been hoping to find this for my collection but at least it was free.
3 NES Games In The Top Right Corner - $1
Asked about games and the middle school aged kid at the house found these 3 games, I was only interested in Thurder & Lightning but he said I could have all 3 for .50 so just took all three and thanked him for the trouble of rounding them up and gave him a buck.
On Saturday I saw an Atari 1200XL (IIRC) with a printer & floppy drive all boxed and beside it a box of some software complete/boxed including 2 complete cartridge games (Donkey Kong & Robotron 2084) but it was it was marked $100 for the whole lot.

Autobots. Roll out.
Today was full of disappointment, not bad but vary disappointing.
First off went to the flea market to set up with a friend, about 10 o'clock it looked like it was about to storm so I went to look around the outside section before the rain came. Not too much was going on only four or five people out there most where packing up but, I did see this...
Okay, I'll bite open says me!
I piss myself, and ask for it all loose Genesis games and everything $15 so I slap that in her hand and walk back to the booth then....
Next, this gets plopped down in front of me...
Why do good games suffer!
Guy wanted a NES and the Mario trilogy seemed even to me for a game I wanted and one that would sale.
My last finds for May...unless I happen to come across something tomorrow.
Most of the stuff in the first picture came from a PlayNTrade that opened up not too long ago, I just have been putting off going and I'm glad I decided to go.
The NES Wizardry games were $5 each. Wizardry II is CIB, the other is box and cart.
The guns were $5 each
Network Adapter $15
The NES controller and misc. cables and power supplies were $2-$3 each
The 32X with power supply and 1 small cable was $10
Eternal Darkness CIB $3
Suikoden IV $10
SNES Exertainment Mountain Bike $1
Championship Bowling CIB $1
I was happy (and surprised) to find Web of Fire for 32X there for $20, which now completes my US 32X collection. All I need now is the box and manual
Flea Market/yard sale finds...
Filthy Vader Atari with some games and a bunch of joysticks $5
Genesis Time Killers CIB $3
360 COD4 boxed $5
Mariokart DS (in a Mario 64 case...oops) $5
PS2 Tsugunai CIB $4
Price gun was $1, seems to sell well on ebay.
The guides/mags were $1 each. I was happy to find the Earthbound and Super Metroid guides. I picked up the 2 Nintendo Powers since they feature Mario RPG.
SNES with 9 games $20. Highlights are Secret of Mana and Rock'n Roll Racing. The person wanted $30 but they lowered it when I mentioned there were no power or AV cables.
N64 Ocarina of Time $2
SNES Super Bomberman 2 $4
SMS games $1 each
2 extra SNES controllers $6
GB Pokemon games $4 each
Thief II $1
NES Turtles $1
Keychain advertising Boss effects pedals .50 cents
Nice pickups on the guides, Scrimble! Wow!
What part do you live in? One of my best friends lives in Regina and she says it gets pretty warm there as well during the summer time. I also snicker everytime she says "Regina". It's not so much the way it's spelled or how I would say it, but more the way it sounds with her Canadian accent.
Is it rare or worth anything? I didn't think CD-i stuff goes for much these days.

I know a lot of Americans seem to think that even in the summer, once you cross the border you're in igloo and penguin territory. Its freaking hotter here than many part of the US.

I'll be moving to Windsor next month, I guess the competition will get a little tougher for you. The first thing I'm likely to do is scour out any good places to find games.
That said my finds right now have been meager at best.
I found
Battle Fantasia X360 - $10 (thank you poster earlier in the month, I could tell a $10 walmart sticker and quickly checked to see if my walmart had one, they had just that, one)
Castle Shikigami III Wii -$10
Enchanted Arms - $5
Left 4 Dead 2 -$15 (I think my boss mispriced this thinking it was the first one)
Sadly no classic finds for awhile. It's been dry.
