I've posted about this on another forum, but it doesn't hurt to try here too. A picture is worth a thousand words...
Someone has suggested the caps maybe on their way out in the power supply. In lieu of any better ideas, I will replace them in the next week or so and see what happens.
If you aren't in Australia, you are probably wondering why I'm bothering. Thing is, DC's here go for a pretty penny. Even broken ones go for over $50!
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas other than replacing the caps, let me know. Otherwise I'll go ahead. Could be a useful thing to know in the future as they become rarer...
