    Default Famicom controller question

Getting away from the vs. threads for a bit...

I have a Twin Famicom and would like to be able to sit on my couch play for a change. I know there are a few variations of controllers that will work via the controller port on the side of the console. Which one is more worth importing? The Hudson Joy? Or the Hori? Or is there one I am unaware of? Controller cord length is very important along with the quality of design. Thanks!

The rapid-fire sliders on the Hori can be pretty stiff, so maybe I'd recommend a good Hudson Joycard Sansui SSS, so you can sit far from your Twin Fami AND listen via headphones.

Sweet! Didn't know it had a headphone jack. Thanks

Where can I find one for a decent price?

After doing some digging it looks as if the Joycard Sansui SSS is for the NES. Was there a Japanese Famicom counterpart??? I doubt it's compatible with both models. I really like this controller!!! Please help!

Pretty sure it was released for Famicom and NES. JapanGameStock have a listing for the famicom version here: http://www.japangamestock.com/videog...-90+11962.html. (although they don't have it in stock)

The short controllers for the Famicom suck, plain and simple. Instead of spending money and searching for a controller that might meet your needs, I have another alternative.

The system uses a pretty standard AC adapter and it uses basic AV cables. When I play my Twin Fami, I always just plug in my long cables, and then set the system very near to me on the coffee table as I play. Just a suggestion

I use a Playstation to Famicom controller adapter. PS2 controllers work with this too, iirc.

I think I either got it from Lik-sang (RIP) or tototek.com. Not sure which
