    Default Mp3 Player Question

This is off the topic of games ,but I wanted some advice.
I am in the market for an MP3 player for working out and travel. I am not familiar with them. I am looking for a model that I transfer some of my favorite songs (via PC USB port) from existing CDS. Then I can travel with the unit instead of a CD player and CDS.

Do any of you guys have one, or can recommend a unit that is good and reasonably priced?

Second that, CD MP3 suck shit. Major shit.

I haven't had a HD based mp3 player in 2 years, but they are cool, but the boot up of the device was slow. (It was a first run Nomad Jukebox, 6 gig). But now, they may have corrected that.

Personally, I went with a flash RAM based player. They are and can be SMALL, but hold less. I'm using the YePP 700 right now, with 128 megs of RAM onboard, and a compact flash card in for 256 ram total. This will hold about 5-6 CDs on average at CD audio quality. Turns right on, seeks to songs fast as hell, and the battery power (rechargable) is awesome. The player is the height and length of a pack of cigs, but half as thick.

Either do HD based or RAM based. If you want to have every CD you own in your palm, do HD based. If you want a small player, RAM.

If you want to work out with one, as a fellow Mp3 exercise fiend, I would highly recommend going with a Flash memory player (or similar type device) as opposed to HD-based player. Yeah yeah yeah, HD players are small, blah blah blah, but if you're working out/running/etc. for any period of time, believe me you want something as small and light as functionally possible. As small as a HD-based player is, it's still too big for serious workouts.

Just throwing an idea out there...how about one of the new, PC compatible iPods?? A bit on the pricey side, but they are small, hold a load of music, and from what I understand, pretty good when working out.

Oh, I see someone already suggested that...duh, go me!!!!
