The Zodiac cost me 60 GBP, which I think is around $85? It came with the original box and everything was in it, including a leather case and the guy also included 2 2GB SD cards, but I think I may need to replace the battery.

Got a loose Atari 2600 woodgrain 6-switch today for $5, but all it's putting out is a blank screen. Definitely turns on, but I can't get a game to boot on it. It's odd because it looks really great, almost brand new. I'm suspecting the cart slot. Any ideas?

Also, should all the chips be in holders like that? I thought they just soldered them to the board. I don't know a lot about Atari, so any help is appreciated.

The only thing I have found wrong with them is that the glue has come loose on on Beat 'Em & Eat 'Em, and there is no registration card in Custer's Revenge.

    Good deal?

Yeah. So it turns out my video card commited suicide last night, it stopped working after installing Premiere Elements 4. I couldn't get it to do anything, my computer wouldn't recognize it. I ended up buying a PCI video card (64MB Geforce 4 MX 440) that was for sale at the booth where I bought the Diablo games two days ago. It cost me... a dollar. It was brand new. I popped it in my system and I have a video signal again, but of course, it won't run games very well, if at all. I can keep working. But I can't play.

I also owe the guy who sold me this a cup of coffee. I told him I'd buy him one as thanks if it worked.

The other stuff? Pure luck. I saw Office 2003 Professional Upgrade on a table between a bunch of clothes and DVDs. The Outlook 2003 was under it. $4 for both.

The Primus thing is a CD+DVD set. It cost me a buck. The Hoagy Carmichael CD was also a buck.

Rest in peace, old video card, I never registered you for the warranty and now I'm fucked and have to buy a new one.

Also found this today, $3. Are these worth anything? I don't see any on eBay. It's never been used, still has the ties on it, it's just not sealed.

Not trying to be stupid, but what is it? All I can tell is some type of Sonic controller type thing.

It's a Shadow the Hedgehog PS2 controller by Nuby. They also made Mega Man ones to go with the collection releases (would rather have found one of those).

Hit a craigslist rummage during lunch today that advertised a PS2 and “MANY video games”. Didn’t look like much when I pulled up, but as I walked over, I saw a PS2 slim system sitting on top of a small table. They wanted 50 bucks for it, so I really didn’t give it a second look. What caught my eye instead was the clear plastic tub under the table with stacks of PS2 games in it, and especially the game on top…

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - $4.00

That’s nice for a change, I thought as I bent down to go through the bin, the good game on top of all the sports titles. It was complete and in great shape, so I put it aside to start a keep pile next to the bin. Only thing was, the next title in the stack wasn’t a sports game either…it was Disgaea 2, then Grandia III, and Tales of the Abyss, plus Odin Sphere, and MANY, MANY more!

Almost everything in the bin was a quality RPG, complete and well-cared for, ranging from $1 to $5! A few were a bit more, but they came with guides, and there were also some quality Gamecube titles. I left behind a few common RPGs I already had in my collection, but pretty much just took up the entire bin and didn’t even try to haggle. Final damage was $121.00 for 32 games and 3 guides (but I did get him to throw in the bin for free ). I’m pretty sure that this is the most I have ever spent at a rummage sale on video games, but think I came out okay…

    Baten Kaitos Origins (Gamecube)
    Beyond Good and Evil
    Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories
    Escape From Monkey Island
    Final Fantasy X
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Gamecube)
    Grandia III
    Kya Dark Lineage
    Magna Carta (Deluxe Boxed Edition)
    Makai Kingdom
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
    Odin Sphere

Went to 3 or 4 Thrift stores today and found absolutely nothing. People need to get off their asses and get jobs. I expect that being a college student on summer break that I can drive around between normal working hours with minimal traffic and minimal competition at thrift stores. Wrong. I was stuck in traffic all over the damn city and every store was crawling with guys with their barcode scanners and women buying everything they can get their hands on. Anyways, after that rant, I found nothing.
    Autobots. Roll out.

I hate you. How do I always miss these?

Seriously though, nice score. If you don't go the Ebay route, lemme know. I'd be interested.

Oh and great local buy, Goodwill Hunter.

I responded to a rather non-descript Craiglist ad for an NES collection. I didn't really know what to expect, but here's what he had:

Among the highlights are boxed copies of Operation Secret Storm and Robodemons. A good amount of this will make its way to B/S shortly as well.

Pacmanhat, are those back 2 rows all boxed? Awesome NES score!...how many boxed vs. loose, and much did it set you back?

Yes, those are all boxed. In total there are 111 loose carts and 101 boxed carts. I'd rather not say how much I paid, but I don't think I'm going to have an issue making back my investment and having plenty left over.

Everybody's finding interesting stuff, all I've bought in a while were loose copies of Phantasy Star ($3.99) and Time Soldiers ($5.99) for the SMS. I'm planning to range outward a bit more next week, hit some new thrifts.
