finally picked up my copy of civilization revolution of craigslist for 360. It was dropped off by the seller at one of his clients near me. $9, and its complete and mint, ive been wanting this since it came out.

Got an IBM Model M keyboard from 1993 from an old teacher of mine. Saw it in the storage as I was visiting my old class and he let me have it for $0! Yay! Its awesome to type with. It's not yellowed as the photo makes it out, it's just the camera and the lighting down here.

Can never, ever go back to a normal keyboard again.

I've been debating for a while if I should get a mechanical keyboard. Maybe not a Model M, but something new.

Neither is game related, but good finds nonetheless. Found a loose Sony battery charger that works with my old Hi8 Handycam batteries for 1.99. Also picked up a DVD box set of Superbowl 1-40 for cheap. It's basically 4 box sets (10 SBs each) in one big package. 3 of the 4 smaller sets were still sealed and the 4th was open but with pristine discs. Good times.

I found this a couple of days ago, still sealed. There's English, French and Spanish writing on the back. Was this part of a Xbox live starter kit?

Yeah, America could have got some more Saturn and Dreamcast LE love. At least what we did get was good, like Nights for example.

3 Game Gear games: Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, Shinobi II: The Silent Fury, Tails Adventure, 1 Game Gear cartridge case, $3.50 for all

I'm not sure why I keep buying Game Gear games. I almost never play them. I guess I just like that they're small so they don't take up a lot of space, and when I do get around to hooking up my Game Gear, a lot of the games surprise me with how fun they are.



PSX Metal Slug X (complete), $5

Not much to say on this one. In hindsight, five bucks seems a bit much, but I like the Metal Slug series and I haven't played this one.



12 NES games: Adventure Island, Back to the Future, Bad News Baseball, Big Bird's Hide & Speak, Donkey Kong Jr., Double Dragon III, Fisher Price: Perfect Fit, Q*Bert, R. C. Pro-Am, Rolling Thunder, Snake's Revenge, The Three Stooges, $9 for all

These all came from a really nice lady who had them all mixed in amongst a bunch of VHS and DVDs. I almost missed them at first; after finding R.C. Pro-Am, I started digging like crazy until I had found them all. I left Track & Field II behind as I have a half dozen copies of it already, and it had marker all over it. She wanted a dollar apiece which is already a fair price, so I just asked if she would offer a break for buying several at once. She counted them up and told me nine bucks. Nice.



Tiger Street Fighter II handheld game, $1

When I was a kid, I had a friend who owned one of these, and despite the fact that it sucks and you can only choose from two characters, the nostalgia factor is super-high with this one. Fun little thing to have sitting on the shelf. At the same sale they had a Tiger football game which I also used to play, but I left that behind, as its graphics weren't as charming .



PS2 Onimusha, .hack//Infection, .hack//Mutation, $5
PS2 Code Breaker, $1

Onimusha and the two .hack games came from the same sale. They were $2 each, and I asked if they'd take $5 for 3, which was accepted. The Code Breaker was from another sale, and it was the only item of interest; there were some games there, but they were all sports.



Boss Super Phaser, $5

Not video game-related, but still a good find. No haggling on this one; five bucks sounded like a great price and the pedal is in really nice shape, so I'm happy to pay it. Hooked it up and funned around with it a little - works great.

I spent a couple minutes complaining about this to my friend when I bought it. Ken is easily the worst-looking, but they're all pretty awful.

It looks identical to the type used on Street Fighter G.I. Joe Action figures from the 90's...

I remember seeing that horrible artwork on official Capcom ads and promo materials back in the day. The GI Joe figures used different "main" artwork, though. But those faces in Tenjikuronin's image? All official.
