Default Need a info on Saturn Memory Cards

I picked up a Saturn bundle for $5 yesterday. It came a memory card plus and 2 ST Keys. I was wondering if that memory card is any good since it's by interact. I also opened it up to clean and found a set of contacts on the top. I was wondering what that was for? Does something plug into it?

The ST Keys are just for playing imports, right?

The set also came with the arcade stick, the 3D controller, and an actual video cable. That's the first I picked up a Saturn and it didn't come with the RF adapter. Unfortunately, the video cable is bent out of shape and doesn't work. I'm hoping I can bend that back into shape.

When it comes to Saturn memory cards and ST Keys, stay away from everything but the official Saturn backup cart and the Action Replay 4-in-1. Everything else will fuck up your cart slot because the contacts on the carts were made too thick.

Yes, the ST Keys are just for playing imports.

Thanks, I didn't know that about the third party carts messing up contacts. Guess I should look for an Action Replay 4-in-1 or an Action Replay 4M Plus.

I think the Action Replay 4-in-1 has the same thickness problem. It's just that the benefits are so great most people are willing to deal with it since there's pretty much no reason to take the cart out of the slot anyway.

I haven't heard of the AR 4-in-1 having the same problem, and I've used it in conjunction with my official backup cart and haven't really had any problems. But I have heard awful things about the ST Key.

Is the action replay 3-in-1 equally reliable?

I certainly hope you're right and the 4M Plus doesn't have that problem since I've had mine in the console for the last...oh...12 years. Just that it's something I've heard through the grapevine.

You can use the connector to connect your Saturn to a PC, so you can transfer game-saves, download homebrew games, ...etc. I make a USB-based device to do this.

I got the Interact, but I use my Saturn so infrequently that I don't really care. Though the thick pins on the cartridge make sense to me. For the first few years after I got it I was thinking it was junk because I couldn't open it. It turned out I didn't have it plugged in all the way...
    I have a sig?
