The first comment says it all for me, and sums up my exact reaction:

That's awesome, but I feel the same way. Who wants to play goldeneye on a ds? And the wii? Hopefully I can use my gamecube controllers instead or I might just pass this up.
I think it might be an on-rails/light gun shooter instead of a FPS. I generally like those games on the Wii, but they might as well just make a new Bond game if they're going that route, especially if Brosnan is going to be subsitiuted with Craig.
Screw it then. Nothing to get excited about. n-Space hasn't developed anything noteworthy aside from Geist, and even that game was meh.The game is supposedly being developed by n-Space and Eurocom

Any Goldeneye game that isn't under development by the Free Radical team responsible for the Timesplitters series is guaranteed to disappoint.
Everything that everybody really loved about Goldeneye went with David Doak when he left Rare and formed Free Radical.
Even Perfect Dark on the N64 while good didn't QUITE match the overall feel of Goldeneye without the core dev input of Doak and Co.
If we never get a Timesplitters 4 the spirit of the Goldeneye games died a noble death with Timesplitters Future Perfect (mainly the day they shut down the online servers).
"And the book says: 'We may be through with the past, but the past ain't through with us.'"
If it's the same game with Wii controls, I don't see the problem.

This isn't really a rumor anymore.....it's going to happen. But I'm also disappointed that despite everything Activision went thru initially to try and get this game released on the Wii and 360--they have now settled on releasing it on the Wii and Ds instead(just to appease Nintendo). Considering it's a shooter game, they get an epic fail for that. Neither the Wii or Ds can handle shooters the way the 360 can.
I'm curious to see what specially gets added to this remake, such as multiplayer. I'm guessing it will have some sort of cross compatibility between the Wii and Ds. But ultimately I'm not very pumped for this game considering the platforms it's limited to.

That
In recent discussions with people about games that I found to be insulting to a franchise or video game legacy, Rogue Agent came in at number one. Just a mediocre James Bond game with the GoldenEye name slapped on for quick profit. Toying with peoples feelings of nostalgia; Being a parasite on greatness.
DERP
I think you mean "Twice"... Goldeneye: Source wasn't really very good.
Some good things can still spring from Goldeneye.
