And Strider. Lots of Strider.
This is a day 1 purchase for me.
Great to see another 2d throwback game of quality.

I love Strider so this looks to be a must buy.

SEGA!
I hate DD games, but it looks like Im getting this one.
Bury me with my money......*dies*
This looks awesome! This and that Hard Corps sequel being made by Arc System Works are day 1 purchases for me on XBLA.
Speaking of Isuke, how many games has he actually worked on? All I can think of are the original Strider and that very Strider esque game he made in 96 for Mitchell Corp. Can't remember the name of it.
Graham nailed it before, Osman. It's also called Cannon Dancer.
Isuke's worked on the following games:
Strider
Nostalgia 1907
The Karate Tournament
Lady Killer
Cannon-Dancer
Suzuki Explosion
As he put it, "That's all that I was the director of. I left out ones where I only helped with graphics or simply wrote a scenario, mainly due to laziness (laughs)." This came from the interview he gave the Light Sword Cypher Mainframe recently.
Didn't look to interesting to me almost like New Super Mario Bros. Wii multi player mode only, with a little Smash Bros story mode and Strider (PS1) thrown in. Does anyone know if this game is single player also? I hate how a lot of new games force multi player and online play and if there is a single player mode its short or dumbed down. I hate feeling like I am missing games because I have no friends.
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.
There is a one player mode according to the game's entry on Xbox.com, but no details about it have surfaced yet.
I don't think it looks that good either. I think that it's from one of the creators of Strider that people are getting hyped up about it. The first thing I noticed when seeing it earlier is that it looked a lot like Strider while attacking, that was before it was told that it was from one of the creators of Strider.
If this is an early trailer they should have waited. The game itself looks like it's barren with the small amounts of enemies you see through pretty much the entire trailer. You mainly see four players running around swinging their weapons at absolutely nothing and then sometimes when there are actually enemies they swing at those.
It's good that they're doing more 2d sidescrollers as they're one of my favorite genres and you rarely see games in this genre anymore, though. So I'll wait until a demo comes out and see what I think of the game.
Looks like Symphony of the Night/Turtles Arcade/Golden Axe/Contra/Strider/Magician Lord/and maybe a bit of Mystic Defender, if I remember that game right. Pretty sweet, anyway. Reminds me of a quarter-munching arcade title for sure.
