SNES - Mega Man X3
6DAE-AF64
EFAE-AFA4
DDA3-AF04
2 of those codes let you call in Zero anytime, one is to let you call in zero even if you die with him during gameplay. if you ever want to play Mega Man x3 nearly completely as Zero on a standard SNES/Game Genie combo these are the codes you want.

I don't believe you CAN play X3 with GG on a real SNES. It uses the extra cart pins on the sides of the main PCB, which don't connect to anything but plastic slots on the GG.
Did Galoob ever release a SNES Game Genie with extra pin connectors?
I shot this video using the codes I posted on a real SNES/Game Genie combo, you can tell from the black bar on the left side and the poor quality, it was shot with a cheap capture card, and not on an emulator.

No, I mean open up your GG with a screwdriver and take a picture of the board.
I would but I'm too afraid I will break it, but it just seems to be your ordinary Game Genie nothing special about it, it's the model that adds the dashes after you type the line of code out. I have two SNES Game Genies, and on the outside they both look identical and both only have open spaces where the extra pins would be. also I thought it was common knowledge that Mega Man X2 and Mega Man X3 worked with them even with their chips. the only reason I added the part about it being able to be done on a Game Genie is because there is a PAR code to allow you to play as Zero without having to call him which is incompatible with the Game Genie

Nevermind, reseated the power adapter and it's fine. Still getting a black screen on the GG, I'll clean it tomorrow. I don't remember it ever working for X2 before.
I think the chips in X3 and X2 are only for the wireframe animations so they aren't even used often, so the game may crash if it has to generate a wireframe. But I don't see how it could stop a SNES from powering on.

Maybe it's the model of the Game Genie that is the problem do you have the one that adds the dash after you type the code in, or the one where the dash is already there?
