    Default nes video problem

I have a nes and it turns on but when it shows on the tv, every game has black rolling lines on the screen. like a old arcade refresh rate kinda thing.

it happens through the a/v or the rf.

    any ideas?

Sounds like a faulty capacitator or trace in the video connection area or a problem with TV reception.

When you open up the system, is there any strange fluids leaking out of the large capacitator/fuse (still not sure what it is)? These are electrolytes, which can leak and cause damage after a long time. Otherwise, the best choice I can say is to check using different cords or a different RF adaptor, and to check for any things that might be causing interference nearby.

i looked at the rf part of the board, and it looks clean around the big cap.

i am going to replace all the 3 small caps on the mainboard and then the big cap if i still dont get results.

how do you guys desolder the video module off the mainboard too get in there and look around?

i tried just bending them up but they are still soldered good.

i sit a iron on them and can get most of the solder off with my desolding bubble but since it is connected in like 5 places it wont budge.

    any tips?
