I wonder if that one guy can still use his preorder since it was cancelled and (possibly) brought back from the dead.
It's not like he can't use his preorder and still keep the original preorder receipt. I'm also sure his preorder has been long since deleted, but he can just bring his receipt up there and bitch if he hasn't got his money back.
I hope it get's released and ends up sucking so basically it will be a big **** you to the gaming community. The rage will be hilarious.

Look, at this point they could release the equivalent of Big Rigs under the Duke Nukem Forever name and people would still buy it. This thing has had ten years of buzz! That's a marketer's dream! Of course they're going to release something!

What a terrible thing to say. I guess I hope something you hope for fails to happen :P (The rage will be hilarious!)
I hope it does really really well. If it's even "good" I'm buying it for pure nostalgia's sake. I do not think they will get their dev costs back though haha.
On the plus side- I bet $10 a few years ago that the game would come out. I can get a nice little fast food meal at Taco Bell and play on release day if this actually does come to pass
I honestly don't care at this point. Either release the game or don't make up your minds already.
It probably won't even play like any of the other Duke Nukem games.
At this point, it's become a bet on which PC game will come out first: Duke Nukem Forever or Darkstar (which has been in development hell since 2001)?
"I am a cipher, wrapped in an enigma, smothered in secret sauce."
I say that because of the fact it's been in development for so long. Everyone is either not caring or PO'ed because they cant make up their mind. (developers) Besides I'm hoping for the 3DS and will still laugh if that fails. But I can still find good in it because that's what I do. Also, that is kind of mean to people who do want this game, so I apologize for that.

it's all gravy. The game deserves the flak it gets now. I just hope it'll be a solid entry.
I've always been cautiously optimistic that it eventually WOULD come out, but I won't be excited until I see something more substantial.
Just hearing this brings back a lot of nostalgia, though, and that can always be fun. I wonder if I can get the game working on this PC.. I miss those massively dated cultural references. "You're going down faster than the XFL!"
Oh, Darkstar. When will we ever get to play you. It's looking horribly dated now, unfortunately. When I first saw their website and looked at their ship designs, they looked dated then. Hopefully they've bothered to upgrade the rendering software and stopped using Bryce 3 or whatever they were using. The game looks like a mid-'90s CD-ROM style game, but this time starring a bunch of folks from the Mystery Science Theater 3000 cast and crew. It still held some promise back then, but I've pretty much given up on it now. And it doesn't look like it'll be Mac-compatible.
odd that they would have Duke Nukem Forever multiplayer up before single player video but it does look... interesting.

I have this weird feeling... That this is a prank.
Reading the comments of the video a lot of people actually thought the cats were meowing into the mic.
The person just put something on the mic and the cats are doing nothing more than licking it, or licking their lips afterwards. To look like they're actually meowing. Also about the 1000 different cut and paste jobs to make that video.
Cool video though.
I would love to see some sort of documentary about the development of this game. If DNF ever comes out I'll buy it still, hopefully the game will turn out decent.
Sothy I appreciate a good jingle cats rolling but there actually is a multiplayer video

Meh, Gearbox would be better served to just keep coming out with borderlands expansions.

I wont buy it. There was a point a few years ago where I would have since the series has always been good...But talk about some outright BS with that company. 12 years in development ? Something was not right there, and I dont believe the game was simply reworked over and over for quality concerns...
Im sure it was more of a scheme to get paid for doing almost nothing. George Bosard or whatever his name was, the guy that ran that company obviously milked it. He probably kicked back and played EQ or WoW during most of the games snail paced development. So im not going to buy it.
