I've seen cartridges for the game and I know there was article released about it before it was canceled, but the thought of there possibly being a cartridge containing some form of GoldenEye for Snes is crazy, I'd love to see it.

I think there only pirates. I've never read or seen any article for the snes about goldeneye.
I vaguely recall some blurb in Nintendo Power talking about Rare switching development of Goldeneye from the SNES to the N64... I doubt the SNES version ever made it very far in the development cycle to produce a playable product.
There was a GoldenEye special interviewing the whole development team and a proper making off in an issue of Retro Gamer magazine recently. Might be worth having a look back at that for info.
I spoke with a developer from Rare at one point, and said the game was pretty much complete. It was a sort of on-the-rails shooter. Apparently the base design of the game was pretty much the same as the N64 version.
But yeah, any carts you see of Goldeneye for the snes are undoubtedly pirates.
<Evan_G> i keep my games in an inaccessable crate where i can't play them
