I have a spare fat boy, but I'm unsure if it works. When I get home I'll test it out for you and if it works, you can have it for free.

I use my PS2 slim for gaming, and I my fat boy sits there, collecting dust. I'm almost sure that it doesn't work (I believe it had errors reading DVD's and game discs, but played music cd's without any issues). But, if it does work, it's yours for sure.

If his doesn't work, I have a spare original model with cables I'm selling for a friend.

It doesn't read discs, so I'm going to try the repair guide I found last night this weekend. I will let you know the results on that.

Thx for your generosity dra600n but I will pass, I had issues with disc reading errors with my last PS2 and I had to fix it periodically until it just didn't work anymore, I'm looking to avoid those issues for as long as possible.

I found one on kijiji this morning, so I should be ok now. Thank you for your offer as well Visc and good luck selling your friend's PS2.
