So i sold a Starcraft guest pass on ebay back when the game came out... Ten days go by and i see an open case, i was confused since i hadn't sold anything besides that and received no complaints from anyone. When i checked it out it said the reason was "Inquiring by paypal" so i guessed the buyer didn't open the case (right?) Anyway i had the email i sent to the buyer with the code, wrote a lengthy description of what happened, and so i thought i was pretty golden and there would be no way i could lose. the buyer didn't respond at anytime during it being open. Seriously there was no way for me to lose i was so sure of myself i even joked about it to my friend telling him "if i lose this i will never use PayPal or ebay again."
Then today i get this:
"Hello ----,
We've concluded our investigation into the transaction detailed below.
Because we determined that you did not meet the eligibility requirements
for the PayPal Seller Protection Policy, you are being charged for this
reversed transaction. We've returned the funds to the PayPal account
holder, and your account will be debited for the amount of this transaction."
I was blown away. i couldn't believe it. I even checked the case and the buyer hadn't said anything still. luckily it was $10 and not more, buyer got a refund and paypal charged my account for the amount the item sold for.
Looks like ill be following through with that joke.
