Default Atari's Haunted House... for the Modern PC?!

I was browsing the Steam Store today because of the huge discounts on Left 4 Dead (1) and Left 4 Dead 2 - only ~$6! - when lo and behold I saw something that I hadn't heard of before. It appears that Atari has decided to make a remake or sequel or some such to the original "Haunted House" game. However this time it is for the PC and being distributed though at least Steam.

Has anyone heard about this before or played it? If so, what has been your experience with the new "Haunted House" game? Is it very similar to the original, or it is a different type of game?

It's also out on the Wii. I picked it up last weekend at Best Buy. It's just more shovelware, unfortunately. The gameplay is focused on walking around a house and shining a light on things. Yes, I know that was part of the original, but this is dumbed down to the greatest extent possible and really for small children.

So it isn't even as complex as the original?
Interesting stuff, here (COMPLETELY unbiased opinion, hehhehheh):

Well, in all fairness there wasn't a ton of storyline or complexity to the original. You basically just walked around a black screen flashing your flashlight along the way looking for things. It could be argued that there have been dozens of sequels to that game by now.
